Post-Super Bowl 7-Round Mock Draft

I added in projected compensatory picks from OTC and the compensatory picks from the new minority candidate development rule. Not sure how those are supposed to be structured in, so I simply used the OTC ones first in the order, but took off the last 3 estimated compensatory picks to ensure it remained at a simple 32 compensatory picks added. So apologies to the Cowboys, Bears, and Steelers. You might have been robbed of a pick but I don't know the specifics of how all those will be factored in. If someone knows the actual way those will set-up, that'd be useful information. Going to provide commentary on rounds 1-3 then maybe the occasional commentary after that if I really like a fit.
Also, there's a chance that I missed someone announcing they were returning to school or not. Just let me know if so.

Pre-Draft Trades

Using the terms suggested from a SB Nation article, so yell at them if you hate it: CAR sends: QB Teddy Bridgewater, 2021, 2022, 2023 first-round picks, 2021, 2022 second-round picks HOU sends: QB Deshaun Watson
The Panthers have drafted relatively well the last 2-3 years, as they have several younger pieces they can continue building around. Thus, a major package to land QB Deshaun Watson should be something they explore. For Houston, a king's ransom for a disgruntled star who really wants out.
An NFC championship contender adds a big piece to their offense: GB sends: 2021 second-round pick, 2022 fifth-round pick DAL sends: WR Michael Gallup, 2021 seventh-round pick
The Packers add some extra firepower on offense by adding Gallup. With Rodgers window coming to a close, the Packers take a chance that an established veteran like Gallup will do more for them than a very late second-round pick. Dallas has Amari Cooper and now CeeDee Lamb at WR, making Gallup expendable if they get a good offer for him.
An NFC playoff team makes a splash at the quarterback position: WAS sends: 2021 fourth-round pick, 2022 seventh-round pick JAC sends: QB Gardner Minshew
While the Redskins did not land Stafford, they could still find a solid upgrade at the QB position by bringing in Gardner Minshew. I love how he fits in Scott Turner's offense, and think this would be a decent enough price to pay to give them some stability at the position.

First Round

(1) Jacksonville Jaguars - QB Trevor Lawrence, Clemson - I'd imagine even though it's the only pick that never changes, Jaguars fans aren't bored of seeing this. Lawrence is a special player and their best bet at turning things around in a hurry.
(2) New York Jets - QB Zach Wilson, BYU - There still could be a small chance that the Jets stick with Sam Darnold, but we're going to go ahead and give Darnold a fresh-start somewhere else (trade to be revealed later). I have Fields a smidge higher than Zach Wilson, but could easily see him being the selection here. I think Wilson's a better fit, however, for LaFleur's Shanahan style offense. Either way, a talented QB for the Jets and head coach Robert Saleh (great f***ing hire btw Jets fans).
(3) Miami Dolphins (via HOU) - OT Penei Sewell, Oregon - With the Panthers giving up a haul for Deshaun Watson, the Dolphins may not have a lot of options to trade out of this spot. Thus, they stick tight and land an elite pass protector for QB Tua Tagovailoa.
(4) Atlanta Falcons - QB Justin Fields, Ohio State - Personally, I love the idea of Fields coming back home to Georgia to sit behind Matt Ryan for a season. The Falcons, and new head coach Arthur Smith, would be wise to take a QB while they're in a natural position to snag one. Ryan will start 2021 for sure due to his contract, but if things go well, they could make a Mahomes like transition to Fields into 2022.
(5) Cincinnati Bengals - OT Rashawn Slater, Northwestern - There a lot of buzz that Slater could be above Sewell in the mind of many NFL executives. Either way, it's a strong pick for the Bengals and Joe Burrow to land a top offensive tackle.
TRADE! The Patriots send their 2021 1st (1.15) along with a 2021 3rd (3.98) and a 2022 1st to the Eagles to move up to their selection at 6.
(6) New England Patriots (via PHI) - QB Trey Lance, North Dakota State - The Patriots need to make a significant investment in the QB position, as neither Cam Newton nor Jarrett Sitdham looked like the answer for them in 2020. Here they make a splash trade to move up and grab Lance, a player with immense physical talent. Ideally they'd land a veteran QB like Ryan Fitzpatrick to start in 2021 while they let Lance develop.
(7) Detroit Lions - WR Devonta Smith, Alabama - One thing lost in the Stafford-Goff trade is Detroit essentially nuking its cap space by bringing in Goff's $28 million deal. Now $11 million over the estimated cap, the Lions do not seem likely to retain WR Kenny Golladay at this point. They need a replacement for Goff to throw to while they determine if he'll be around longer than 2021.
(8) Houston Texans (via CAR) - CB Caleb Farley, Virginia Tech - Without a QB available here, the Texans play it patient, letting newly acquired Teddy Bridgewater run the show in 2021. They instead my personal top choice at corner this year, Virginia Tech's Caleb Farley. For a defense that needs to get turned around, he represents an excellent building block for them.
TRADE! The Miami Dolphins get aggressive here, sending their second first-round pick (1.18), a 2021 3rd (3.82) and a 2022 2nd round pick, and swap 2nds with Denver to move up here.
(9) Miami Dolphins (via DEN) - WR Ja'Marr Chase, LSU - The Dolphins go land a premier wide receiver target for QB Tua Tagovailoa to throw to. Chase and Smith will be widely debated for the top wide receiver honors in this draft class. Miami would likely be elated to add either one of them.
(10) Dallas Cowboys - CB Patrick Surtain II, Alabama - Surtain may not be my top cornerback, but the Cowboys should have no hesitation adding him here at tenth overall, especially considering the dire state of their defense.
(11) New York Giants - EDGE Kwity Paye, Michigan - Paye is an exceptional athletic talent. Much like fellow Wolverine Rashan Gary coming out of Ann Arbor, he's still got plenty of room to grow into an elite rusher. He was dominant in the first few games for the Wolverines in an otherwise rough 2020 season for Harbaugh and co.
(12) San Francisco 49ers - CB Jaycee Horn, South Carolina - I have top-15 grades on all three of the corners listed so far, so this remains excellent value in my opinion for the 49ers. They're likely going to lose a handful of cornerbacks to free agency this year, so landing a premier rookie to develop into a stud for DeMeco Ryans defense is a priority.
(13) Los Angeles Chargers - OT Christian Darrisaw, Virginia Tech - An excellent group of tackles in this year's draft class is a big benefit for the Chargers, as they're able to land a premier prospect like Darrisaw. He'll fit well in new offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi's offense in his second-go as a play-caller.
(14) Minnesota Vikings - T/G Alijah Vera-Tucker, USC - Vera-Tucker has the flexibility to play tackle or move inside to guard. The Vikings have a similar player in Ezra Cleveland, which should give them the ability to move some guys around and find the ideal pairing here.
(15) Philadelphia Eagles - EDGE Gregory Rousseau, Miami - The Eagles probably have some positional needs above this, but it'd be a mistake to go for a worse player at a lesser player, thus the selection of Rousseau. He's an elite athlete and was incredibly disruptive for the Hurricanes in 2019. With Brandon Graham getting up there in age, and Vinny Curry set to hit free agency, this selection goes best player available with the near future in mind.
(16) Arizona Cardinals - TE Kyle Pitts, Florida - The Cardinals could use a monsterous pass catcher like Pitts to pair with DeAndre Hopkins. With some strong flashes from QB Kyler Murray in 2020, adding one more weapon could provide the breakthrough the Cardinals need to make it into the playoffs.
TRADE! The Steelers make a move up, sending a 1st (1.24), their third (3.88) and a 2022 fifth to move up and make the selection here instead of the Raiders.
(17) Pittsburgh Steelers - OT Samuel Cosmi, Texas - Jumping ahead of a couple of OT-needy teams in the WFT and the Bears, Pittsburgh gets its future franchise pass protector. Cosmi's film shows a highly athletic tackle who has gotten better each season in Austin. Put in a strong program under Mike Tomlin, I think Cosmi can thrive as a future All-Pro.
(18) Denver Broncos (via MIA) - LB Micah Parsons, Penn State - The Broncos land an absolute steal here with Parsons, an elite blend of size and speed at the LB position. Additionally, his versatility should be a weapon for Vic Fangio to deploy, as he's capable of filling multiple roles on any defense.
(19) Washington Football Team - WR Jaylen Waddle, Alabama - I think a bigger wide receiver would work a bit better, but Scott Turner's creativity in building an offense around mostly role/gadget players like Logan Thomas and Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic gives me confidence he can make it work with an elite talent like Waddle.
(20) Chicago Bears - G Wyatt Davis, Ohio State - The Bears could probably go for a tackle a little bit more than a guard, but beggars cannot be choosers this late into the first-round. They land an elite interior lineman to immediately give a boost to their offensive line.
(21) Indianapolis Colts - QB Mac Jones, Alabama - Philip Rivers retired, Jacoby Brissett is a free agent, and Jacob Eason wasn't active for a single game. Add it all together and it looks like the Colts are in need of a QB like Jones. A decisive passer with a good deep ball, he'll be a nice addition for Frank Reich to mentor.
(22) Tennessee Titans - EDGE Jaelan Phillips, Miami - The Titans pass rusher was miserable this past season. Injecting some youth and athleticism into the equation could help Mike Vrabel get his defense back on track. Phillips was excellent for the Hurricanes in 2020.
(23) New York Jets (via SEA) - OT Alex Leatherwood, Alabama - The Jets add another big body here to pair on the other side of LT Mekhi Becton. With those two in town, new QB Zach Wilson should feel quite comfortable in the pocket.
(24) Las Vegas Raiders (via PIT) - DT Christian Barmore, Alabama - The sixth Crimson Tide player selected, Barmore was dominant the second half of the season in Tuscaloosa. He'd fill a big need on Ken Whisenhu...I mean, Gus Bradley's defense here in Vegas.
(25) Jacksonville Jaguars (via LAR) - WR Kadarius Toney, Florida - The Jaguars give Trevor Lawrence an explosive weapon to throw to. Toney lit up the SEC this season and was very impressive at the Senior Bowl. He'd join former Florida head coach Urban Meyer a short drive away.
(26) Cleveland Browns - DT Daviyon Nixon, Iowa - The Browns drafting this late with their own selection is a sign of how far they've come in recent years. They now have the ability to sit back and take the best player on the board in Nixon, a dominant pass rusher who came on strong in Big Ten play this year.
(27) Baltimore Ravens - WR Rashod Bateman, Minnesota - I believe I've had this pick in the last mock I did as well, but it makes way too much sense. The Ravens need a top option at wide receiver and Bateman's a crafty player who fits their offense well.
(28) New Orleans Saints - CB Aaron Robinson, UCF - Robinson is a very underrated corner in this draft, and I really think he'll have a shot to land in the first-round. A quick player who always ends up in the right position, he'd be an excellent addition to the Saints defense.
(29) Green Bay Packers - LB Nick Bolton, Missouri - The Packers need some fresh blood at the second level, and Bolton's an absolute missile who flies all over the field. Bolton would fit really well in the middle of their defense, especially if the Packers hire a 3-4 zone blitz genius like Jim Leonhard as their new coordinator.
(30) Buffalo Bills - EDGE Azeez Ojulari, Georgia - A debate here between Ojulari and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, but ultimately think the depth at LB is a bit better in this class then pass rusher. So, Ojulari joins Sean McDermott's defense in Buffalo.
(31) Kansas City Chiefs - iOL Creed Humphrey, Oklahoma - The Chiefs need to add a starting caliber player to the interior of their offense line, and if Humphrey slides to them in the first-round, that'd be excellent value for them.
(32) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - RB Najee Harris, Alabama - Congratulations Bucs fans and the Brady bandwagon! Now, don't get too caught up on the position, the best way to maintain your dominance is to continue adding elite pieces, and Harris is a potential star at the RB position. Excellent in-between the tackles as well as in the passing game.

Second Round

(33) Jacksonville Jaguars - S Trevon Moehrig, TCU - I almost thought about Moehrig with their second first-round pick, but ultimately he still lands in Jacksonville.
(34) New York Jets - RB Travis Etienne, Clemson - The Jets have the cap space to add a veteran WR like Allen Robinson or Kenny Golladay, so use the draft to add a stellar running back.
(35) Atlanta Falcons - CB Erik Stokes, Georgia - Another Georgia player sticking around, as Stokes gives them an excellent option to develop alongside Terrell.
(36) Denver Broncos (via MIA) - CB Greg Newsome II, Northwestern - A rising star at the cornerback position, Newsome fits well into Fangio's defense.
(37) Philadelphia Eagles - WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, USC - After adding an edge rusher earlier, the Eagles add a top wideout in the Trojan's star.
(38) Cincinnati Bengals - G Deonte Brown, Alabama - The Bengals, after trading for another starting guard earlier, continue to overhaul their line.
(39) Houston Texans (via CAR) - EDGE Joseph Ossai, Texas - The Texans add some pass rushing help on the edge of their front seven with Ossai.
(40) Miami Dolphins (via DEN) - OLB Zaven Collins, Tulsa - Collins is an ideal fit for Brian Flores, as he can lineup in a handful of different spots, similar to some of the linebackers he's worked with in Miami and New England.
(41) Detroit Lions - LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Notre Dame - The Lions add a rangy linebacker who can give them some much needed at the position.
(42) New York Giants - G Trey Smith, Tennessee - The Giants get an upgrade along the offensive with a powerful guard like Smith.
(43) San Francisco 49ers - DT Levi Onwuzurike, Washington - The 49ers add an elite defensive tackle to pair with Javon Kinlaw on the inside.
(44) Dallas Cowboys - OT Dillon Radunz, North Dakota State - The Cowboys went defense earlier, but add a talented offensive lineman to restock the trenches here.
(45) Jacksonville Jaguars - TE Pat Freiermuth, Penn State - If Freiermuth falls to the Jags here that'd be an absolute steal. A high-caliber tight end who can do everything needed at the position.
(46) New England Patriots - WR Terrace Marshall Jr., LSU - The Patriots, even if they add a QB, still need more weapons at WR. Marshall is an excellent one.
(47) Los Angeles Chargers - CB Ifeatu Melifonwu, Syracuse - The Chargers give new head coach Brandon Staley an elite athlete to mold into a dominant cornerback for them.
(48) Las Vegas Raiders - EDGE Joe Tryon, Washington - The Raiders bring in another talent piece of Washington 2019 defensive line. He's got a high motor along with immense upside.
TRADE! The Colts hop in front of the Dolphins to land their guy. They send a 2022 3rd round pick along with their second (2.54) here to the Cardinals in exchange for this selection and a 2022 7th round pick.
(49) Indianapolis Colts (via ARI) - EDGE Carlos Basham, Wake Forest - I think Basham could definitely go higher than this, but if he's available in the second, the Colts should jump up to land him.
(50) Miami Dolphins - S Jevon Holland, Oregon - The Dolphins add a playmaking safety to join their defense. Holland was an excellent leader on defense for the Ducks.
(51) Washington Football Team - OT Teven Jenkins, Oklahoma State - Washington has gotten serviceable production from a pair of aging OT's in Moses and Lucas. They add a developmental tackle to replace them soon enough.
(52) Chicago Bears - WR Nico Collins, Michigan - The Bears could see star WR Allen Robinson walk in free agency. Adding a deep threat like Collins to pair with Mooney would be fun.
(53) Tennessee Titans - OT Jalen Mayfield, Michigan - Another Wolverine in the second round here, Mayfield would give the Titans a strong Michigan-based tackle duo with Taylor Lewan's return.
(54) Arizona Cardinals (via IND) - iOL Landon Dickerson, Alabama - A tough, hard-nosed player on the interior, Dickerson can play a handful of spots, making him a versatile addition to the Cardinals line.
(55) Pittsburgh Steelers - RB Javonte Williams, North Carolina - The Steelers add a stud running back to help revive their run game.
(56) Seattle Seahawks - EDGE Jayson Oweh, Penn State - The Seahawks could use some pass rush. Oweh's a bit raw, but can develop into a useful piece for Pete Carroll.
(57) Los Angeles Rams - LB Chazz Surratt, North Carolina - The Rams add an athletic player at the second-level to keep their defense playing elite football. With the addition of QB Matthew Stafford, the Rams could be serious contenders for the NFC title in 2021.
(58) Baltimore Ravens - EDGE Quincy Roche, Miami - Adding Roche as a rush end in Martindale's 3-4 defense would be an excellent move as Baltimore seems unlikely to retain both Yannick Ngakoue and Matt Judon.
(59) Cleveland Browns - S Richie Grant, UCF - For a school most associate with high-powered offense, the UCF secondary is loaded, and Grant would make a fine addition for the Browns.
TRADE! The Saints send 2.60 and a 2022 third to the Jets in exchange for QB Sam Darnold.
(60) New York Jets (via NO) - WR Elijah Moore, Ole Miss - He seems to be trending higher than this, but either way, the Jets substitute a backup QB for an explosive wide receiver for Zach Wilson.
(61) Buffalo Bills - OT Spencer Brown, Northern Iowa - The Bills run game needs a boost on the offensive line, and Brown's monstrous frame gives a lot of weight to that.
(62) Dallas Cowboys (via GB) - DT Jay Tufele, USC - After adding offensive line earlier in the second, the Cowboys go back to restocking their defense with talent.
(63) Kansas City Chiefs - WR D'Wayne Eskridge, Western Michigan - The Chiefs likely lose WR Sammy Watkins, but find an explosive piece here to replace him.
(64) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - EDGE Hamilcar Rashed Jr., Oregon State - Rashed has a lot of physical traits that bolster his potential. Letting Todd Bowles develop him would be ideal.

Third Round

(65) Jacksonville Jaguars - EDGE Patrick Jones II, Pittsburgh - Urban Meyer and Jags add a defensive end with a high motor to develop along with Josh Allen and K'Lavon Chaisson.
(66) New York Jets - CB Keith Taylor Jr., Washington - A long, versatile defensive back, Taylor reminds me a good deal of 49ers CB Richard Sherman in his playstyle.
(67) Houston Texans - S Talanoa Hufanga, USC - The Texans continue to overhaul their defense here, bringing in Hufanga to play a handful of roles in their backfield.
(68) Atlanta Falcons - RB Michael Carter, North Carolina - Excellent value for the Falcons here, whether or not they bring back RB Todd Gurley who played on a 1-year deal in 2020.
(69) Cincinnati Bengals - CB Paulson Adebo, Stanford - The Bengals give their defense some reinforcements with the selection of an experienced corner like Adebo.
(70) Philadelphia Eagles - LB Jabrill Cox, LSU - The Eagles add a great athlete to the second-level of their defense. Cox has shown a lot of potential as a modern backer.
(71) Denver Broncos - EDGE Janarius Robinson, Florida State - With Von Miller in a bit of hot water at the moment, Denver make want to add a pass rusher to develop just in case.
(72) Detroit Lions - S Andre Cisco, Syracuse - Detroit's safety play was poor last year. Adding a high potential player like Cisco could be a good move for the rebuilding Lions.
(73) Carolina Panthers - TE Hunter Long, Boston College - Welcome to the board, Carolina! After making a splash trade for QB Deshaun Watson, the Panthers give him another weapon at tight end. Long impressed during the Senior Bowl.
(74) Washington Football Team - LB Cameron McGrone, Michigan - McGrone has some inconsistency to his play, but offers a lot of upside for someone who can straighten him out.
(75) Dallas Cowboys - EDGE Victor Dimukeje, Duke - The Cowboys take a chance on Dimukeje here to help get after opposing QB's more frequently.
(76) New York Giants - WR Rondale Moore, Purdue - I'd anticipate Golden Tate being a cap cut, and if so, Moore would be an explosive slot weapon to replace him.
(77) New England Patriots - PICK FORFEITED
(78) Los Angeles Chargers - EDGE Dayo Odeyingbo, Vanderbilt - A craft, versatile edge rusher, he'd project as an OLB in Staley defense with the Chargers.
(79) Minnesota Vikings - DT Alim McNeill, North Carolina State - The Vikings add an explosive 3-technique to help get their defense turned around in a hurry.
(80) Arizona Cardinals - CB Shaun Wade, Ohio State - Wade was overhyped early on, but would fit well in the Cardinals defense, developing as a future replacement for Patrick Peterson.
(81) Las Vegas Raiders - S Richard Lecounte, Georgia - The Raiders add an experienced safety on the back end who can help them slow down divisional offenses led by Mahomes and Herbert.
(82) Denver Broncos - OT Liam Eichenberg, Notre Dame - The Broncos stop a bit of a slide here for Eichenberg. He has the ability to play RT or on the inside for Denver.
(83) Washington Football Team - S Joshuah Bledsoe, Missouri - An underrated player at the position, Bledsoe has a ton of versatility and would fit very well reinforcing Washington's already stellar defense.
(84) Chicago Bears - QB Kyle Trask, Florida - The Bears don't ignore the QB position entirely, as they take a later-than-expected flier on Trask. He was very good for Florida.
(85) Indianapolis Colts - CB Elijah Molden, Washington - Not the biggest need on the Colts roster, but they should have the cap to plug holes in free agency and pick better players, like Molden, here.
(86) Tennessee Titans - WR Dyami Brown, North Carolina - The Titans do have a stud WR in A.J. Brown, but with Corey Davis likely landing big money elsewhere, adding another player here is important.
(87) New York Jets (via SEA) - EDGE Payton Turner, Houston - A versatile pass rusher who can fit either a 4-3 or 3-4. Whatever system Saleh installs, Turner should find a home quickly.
(88) Las Vegas Raiders (via PIT) - LB Dylan Moses, Alabama - Once considered a potential top-10 pick, Moses has fallen off a bit, but the Raiders take a chance on him nonetheless.
(89) Detroit Lions (via LAR) - WR Tylan Wallace, Oklahoma State - Detroit should probably consider hitting the wide receiver position multiple times in the draft. The cabinet is empty there.
(90) Cleveland Browns - LB Ventrell Miller, Florida - The Browns linebackers are a major weak spot. If Cleveland wants to contend for the division, adding some speed there in Miller would help.
(91) Minnesota Vikings (via BAL) - S Paris Ford, Pittsburgh - With S Anthony Harris likely headed elsewhere in free agency, the Vikings take a chance on the hard-hitting ford as a replacement.
(92) Cleveland Browns - EDGE Rashad Weaver, Pittsburgh - Back-to-back selections of Pitt Panthers here, Rashad is an excellent pass rusher to add into the mix.
(93) Green Bay Packers - DT Tommy Togiai, Ohio State - The Packers add some beef to the inside of their defense, hoping to solidify a shaky group outside of DT Kenny Clark.
(94) Buffalo Bills - iOL Josh Myers, Ohio State - The Bills grab a starting caliber lineman here in Myers, who should help bolster the interior of their offensive line and give a boost to their run game.
(95) Kansas City Chiefs - OT Jackson Carmen, Clemson - The Chiefs need another offensive tackle to throw into the mix, as neither Eric Fisher nor Mitchell Schwartz figure to be around for too much longer.
(96) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - DT Marvin Wilson, Florida State - While Wilson didn't dominant as many expected him to in 2020, perhaps slotting him alongside Vita Vea will free up mismatches for him.
Compensatory Selections
(97) Los Angeles Chargers - G Quinn Meinerz, Wisconsin-Whitewater - Meinrez blew up the Senior Bowl, and could easily land as a top-100 prospect after that showing. LAC is a good fit here.
(98) Philadelphia Eagles - TE Brevin Jordan, Miami - With Zach Ertz and Philadelphia likely parting ways soon enough, Jordan gives the Eagles a gadget replacement in the passing game.
(99) Dallas Cowboys - CB Asante Samuel Jr., Florida State - Another corner for Dallas as they really could use two strong selections to help rebuild the position. Samuel excels in the slot.
(100) New Orleans Saints - WR Amari Rodgers, Clemson - The Saints add the best player on the board here for me, an exceptional wide out who will pair well with Michael Thomas.
(101) Tennessee Titans - DT Marlon Tuipulotu, USC - The Titans add another body to their defensive front, in hopes that Marlon and Simmons can become a dominant duo inside.
(102) Los Angeles Rams - WR Josh Imatorbhebhe, Illinois - One of the most underrated wide outs in the class, due to the lack of offensive savvy around him. Imatorbhebhe reminds me of Kenny Golladay, so pairing him with new Rams QB Matthew Stafford out to be fun.
(103) Minnesota Vikings - EDGE Jordan Smith, UAB - A long, toolsy pass rusher to develop into a sidekick for Danielle Hunter is the pick here for Mike Zimmer and co.
(104) San Francisco 49ers - OT Walker Little, Stanford - I'm certain the 49ers will bring back LT Trent Williams, but how much longer does he really have? Meanwhile, Little can play guard before taking over at left tackle soon enough.
(105) Los Angeles Rams - EDGE Shaka Toney, Penn State - Toney has good burst off the edge and with OLB Leonard Floyd headed towards the market, the Rams could stand to add some pass rushers.
(106) New Orleans Saints - RB Trey Sermon, Ohio State - With a cap crunch, paying $4 million for Latavius Murray may be a luxury the Saints cannot afford. Cutting him and drafting Sermon can offset that.

Fourth Round

Just a reminder, but almost half of all fourth-round selections (46%) are no longer on the roster after two years in their career, so don't take these picks too seriously, as this is also where teams start to diverge from needs a bit more and go best available. The aim is rotational players who might be contributors by their 3rd year with the franchise. If you have a significant need, fill it in free agency, not the day three of the draft. If you're banking on your team to find a starter here at a key position, you're already kind of screwed. Really I'm less focused on needs as opposed to getting good value here. Am trying to avoid doubling up on prospects, but sometimes teams actually do that.
(107) Jacksonville Jaguars - DT Tyler Shelvin, LSU (108) New York Jets - G David Moore, Grambling State (109) Atlanta Falcons - S Hamsah Nasirildeen, Florida State (110) Houston Texans - QB Jaime Newman, Georgia - The Texans don't draft a QB in the first, but do take a chance on Newman's upside to develop behind Bridgewater.
(111) Cleveland Browns - WR Seth Williams, Auburn (112) Cincinnati Bengals - S Jamien Sherwood, Auburn (113) Detroit Lions - EDGE Ronnie Perkins, Oklahoma (114) Carolina Panthers - LB Baron Browning, Ohio State (115) Denver Broncos - RB Jermar Jefferson, Oregon State - With Lindsay hitting the market, maybe the Broncos don't bring him back and Jefferson as a change of pace back behind Gordon instead.
(116) Dallas Cowboys - TE Tommy Tremble, Notre Dame (117) New York Giants - RB Rhamondre Stevenson, Oklahoma - An excellent backup for Saquon Barkley if the Giants don't re-sign Wayne Gallman. (118) San Francisco 49ers - S James Wiggins, Cincinnati (119) Los Angeles Chargers - RB Demetric Falcon, UCLA (120) Minnesota Vikings - WR Dazz Newsome, North Carolina
(121) New England Patriots - WR Whop Philyor, Indiana (122) Las Vegas Raiders - G Sadarius Hutcherson, South Carolina (123) Houston Texans - WR Marlon Williams, UCF (124) Miami Dolphins - DT Jaylen Twyman, Pittsburgh (125) Jacksonville Jaguars - CB Israel Mukuamu, South Carolina - The Jags had a good year out of Sidney Jones, but still could use an intriguing developmental option like Mukuamu behind him.
(126) Minnesota Vikings - LB Pete Werner, Ohio State (127) Tennessee Titans - G Ben Cleveland, Georgia (128) Indianapolis Colts - WR Jaelon Darden, North Texas (129) Pittsburgh Steelers - CB Kary Vincent Jr., LSU - The Steelers get some excellent value here, as I think Vincent is one of the top slot corners in the draft. Could easily replace Hilton. (130) Seattle Seahawks - CB Shakur Brown, Michigan State
(131) Jacksonville Jaguars - LB Monty Rice, Georgia (132) Baltimore Ravens - iOL Trey Hill, Georgia (133) Cleveland Browns - TE Cary Angeline, North Carolina State (134) New Orleans Saints - EDGE Tarron Jackson, Coastal Carolina - With Trey Hendrickson likely departing and Marcus Davenport still yet to hit double-digit sacks, the Saints may look to add another piece to develop here. (135) Minnesota Vikings - RB Khalil Herbert, Virginia Tech
(136) Green Bay Packers - OT James Hudson, Cincinnati (137) Kansas City Chiefs - LB Anthony Hines III, Texas A&M - A quick linebacker, he'd fit nicely into the Chiefs defense alongside Willie Gay and others. (138) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - QB Davis Mills, Stanford (139) New England Patriots - EDGE Adetokunbo Ogundeji, Notre Dame (140) Dallas Cowboys - S Ar'Darius Washington, TCU
(141) Los Angeles Rams - TE Tre McKitty, Georgia (142) Pittsburgh Steelers - DT Darius Stills, West Virginia (143) Green Bay Packers - RB Kylin Hill, Mississippi State - With Aaron Jones hitting the market, the Packers may look for another back to add to their rotation. Hill would be a great addition. (144) Kansas City Chiefs - CB Roger McCreary, Auburn (145) New England Patriots - OT Cordell Volson, North Dakota State

Fifth Round

(146) Jacksonville Jaguars - OT Brady Christensen, BYU (147) New York Jets - DL Brenton Cox, Florida (148) Houston Texans - EDGE Jonathan Cooper, Ohio State (149) Atlanta Falcons - EDGE Kingsley Enagbare, South Carolina - PFF actually lists Enagbare as a top-100 player on their latest big board, which, if accurate, would be tremendous value. (150) Cincinnati Bengals - WR Anthony Schwartz, Auburn
(151) Philadelphia Eagles - CB Robert Rochell, Central Arkansas - Big fan of Rochell's a potential starter down the road. Would fit well with Marcus Gannon calling the defense. (152) Carolina Panthers - G Kendrick Green, Illinois (153) Denver Broncos - QB Kellen Mond, Texas A&M (154) Detroit Lions - CB Kelvin Joseph, Kentucky (155) New York Jets - S Caden Sterns, Texas
(156) San Francisco 49ers - CB Camryn Bynum, California (157) Philadelphia Eagles - OT Adrian Ealy, Oklahoma (158) Minnesota Vikings - CB Rodarius Williams, Oklahoma State (159) New England Patriots - DT Milton Williams, Louisiana Tech (160) Los Angeles Chargers - WR Simi Fehoko, Stanford
(161) Arizona Cardinals - RB Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State - He'd be an excellent fit in the Cardinals backfield, especially if Kenyan Drake does not return. (162) Buffalo Bills - CB Tay Gowan, UCF (163) Las Vegas Raiders - QB Feleipe Franks, Arkansas (164) Washington Football Team - WR Jonathan Adams Jr., Arkansas State (165) Chicago Bears - CB D.J. Daniel, Georgia
(166) Indianapolis Colts - OT Brendan Jaimes, Nebraska (167) Tennessee Titans - OLB Charles Snowden, Virginia (168) Seattle Seahawks - OT Dan Moore Jr., Texas A&M (169) Baltimore Ravens - QB Sam Ehlinger, Texas - Unless the Ravens are certain that Trace McSorley is their backup QB, they may want to look at adding Ehlinger behind Lamar. (170) Cleveland Browns - LB Tony Fields II, West Virginia
(171) Jacksonville Jaguars - WR Tamorrion Terry, Florida State (172) Minnesota Vikings - QB Ian Book, Notre Dame (173) San Francisco 49ers - iOL Drake Jackson, Kentucky (174) Green Bay Packers - CB Ambry Thomas, Michigan (175) Buffalo Bills - S Reed Blankenship, Middle Tennessee State
(176) Kansas City Chiefs - EDGE Malcolm Koonce, Buffalo (177) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - LB Garrett Wallow, Texas Christian (178) Green Bay Packers - S Tyree Gillespie, Missouri (179) Atlanta Falcons - C James Empey, BYU - The Falcons find themselves a quality interior lineman who could use a year to develop before getting in the mix to replace Alex Mack down the road. (180) Dallas Cowboys - WR Josh Palmer, Tennessee
(181) Baltimore Ravens - S Qwynterrio Cole, Alcorn State (182) San Francisco 49ers - WR Marquez Stevenson, Houston (183) Kansas City Chiefs - RB Pooka Williams, Kansas

Sixth Round

(184) Tennessee Titans - QB Shane Buechele, Texas (185) New York Jets - LB Paddy Fisher, Northwestern (186) Atlanta Falcons - G Aaron Banks, Notre Dame - Love the value here for the Falcons, and if they do have to cut James Carpenter, Banks could be a useful piece. (187) Houston Texans - iOL Jack Anderson, Texas Tech (188) Philadelphia Eagles - S JaCoby Stevens, LSU (189) Cincinnati Bengals - DT Khryis Tonga, BYU (190) Denver Broncos - DT Bobby Brown III, Texas A&M
(191) Dallas Cowboys - G Josh Sills, Oklahoma State (192) Carolina Panthers - DT Carlo Kemp, Michigan (193) San Francisco 49ers - EDGE Daelin Hayes - The 49ers showed a good deal of interest in Hayes at the Senior Bowl per reports. He'd be a nice depth option on the edge. (194) New England Patriots - CB Benjamin St.-Juste, Minnesota (195) New York Giants - CB Thomas Graham Jr., Oregon
(196) New England Patriots - G Tristen Hoge, BYU (197) Los Angeles Chargers - S Eric Burrell, Wisconsin (198) Minnesota Vikings - OT Alex Himmelman, Illinois State (199) Las Vegas Raiders - PICK FORFEITED (200) New York Giants - LB K.J. Britt, Auburn
(201) Houston Texans - DL Cameron Sample, Tulane (202) Las Vegas Raiders - WR Austin Watkins, UAB (203) Chicago Bears - OT Bryce Matthews, Ole Miss (204) Los Angeles Chargers - WR Isaiah McKoy, Kent State (205) Indianapolis Colts - WR Damon Hazelton, Missouri - This stretch of wide receivers looks like solid value, especially Hazelton in Reich's offense.
(206) Miami Dolphins - TE Kenny Yeboah, Ole Miss - Yeboah got to work with Miami's coaching staff at the Senior Bowl, so I'd imagine they have a good feel for his use. (207) Seattle Seahawks - DT Mustafa Johnson, Colorado (208) Los Angeles Rams - OT Robert Hainsey, Notre Dame (209) Baltimore Ravens - G Robert Jones, Middle Tennessee State (210) Cleveland Browns - CB Trill Williams, Syracuse
(211) Houston Texans - RB Jaret Patterson, Buffalo (212) Buffalo Bills - RB Elijah Mitchell, Louisiana (213) Green Bay Packers - WR Cade Johnson, South Dakota State (214) Pittsburgh Steelers - C Jimmy Morrissey, Pittsburgh (215) Tennessee Titans - S Aashari Crosswell, Arizona State
(216) Atlanta Falcons - LB Derrick Barnes, Purdue (217) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - TE Quintin Morris, Bowling Green (218) Atlanta Falcons - OT Greg Eiland, Mississippi State (219) Philadelphia Eagles - RB Javian Hawkins, Louisville (220) Chicago Bears - EDGE Chris Rumph Jr., Duke
(221) Green Bay Packers - DE William King-Bradley, Baylor (222) Chicago Bears - S Shawn Davis, Florida (223) Minnesota Vikings - G Ben Brown, Ole Miss (224) Philadelphia Eagles - LB Grant Stuard, Houston

Seventh Round

(225) Jacksonville Jaguars - DT Malik Herring, Georgia (226) San Francisco 49ers - TE Noah Gray, Duke (227) Houston Texans - CB Tre Brown, Oklahoma (228) Chicago Bears - LB Justin Hilliard, Ohio State (229) Cincinnati Bengals - EDGE Elerson Smith, Northern Iowa (230) Philadelphia Eagles - WR Ben Skowronek, Northwestern
(231) Cincinnati Bengals - DT TaQuon Graham, Texas (232) Buffalo Bills - S Divine Deablo, Virginia Tech (233) Denver Broncos - S Damar Hamlin, Pittsburgh (234) Green Bay Packers - LB Riley Cole, South Alabama (235) Denver Broncos - WR Cornell Powell, Clemson
(236) San Francisco 49ers - WR Frank Darby, Arizona State (237) Los Angeles Chargers - DB Darrin Hall, San Diego State (238) Minnesota Vikings - WR Trevon Grimes, Florida (239) New England Patriots - DE Wyatt Hubert, Kansas State (240) Arizona Cardinals - OT Jaylon Moore, Western Michigan
(241) Washington Football Team - G Jake Curhan, California (242) Pittsburgh Steelers - CB Bryan Mills, North Carolina Central (243) Washington Football Team - RB Chris Evans, Michigan (244) Las Vegas Raiders - CB Mark Webb, Georgia (245) Indianapolis Colts - RB Larry Roundtree, Missouri
(246) Jacksonville Jaguars - DT Forrest Merrill, Arkansas State (247) New York Jets - WR Tre Walker, (248) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - EDGE Joshua Kaindoh, Florida State (249) Los Angeles Rams - CB Bryce Thompson, Tennessee (250) Cleveland Browns - QB Brady White, Memphis
(251) Denver Broncos - EDGE Patrick Johnson, Tulane (252) New Orleans Saints - PICK FORFEITED (253) Green Bay Packers - DT Jack Heflin, Northern Illinois (254) Cleveland Browns - CB Nahshon Wright, Oregon State (255) Kansas City Chiefs - DT Kobie Whiteside, Missouri (256) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - WR Desmond Fitzpatrick, Louisville
You'll notice there are no special teams listed...mostly because I don't have a clue who needs a K/P/LS. That actually might be something useful to mention if you're team really needs someone.
Feel free to comment...I won't really be looking at them until next week, as I've spent too much time putting this together and now I need a break from this website. Just don't be a d*** is all I ask. It's shockingly hard for some people when it comes to internet mock drafts. Did this for fun, hope you had fun reading it.

The Offseason Begins: 7 Round Mock

Full mock available here. I used Overthecap for comp picks.
Trades
WAS gives 1.19, 2.51, 4.124, 22 1st, 22 3rd, 23 1st, DT Ioannidis, LB Holcolmb to HOU for QB Watson - I know there has been speculation of Watson avoiding WAS due to Snyder, but I think Rivera can win him over. WAS might not be just a QB away, but they should be more than willing to be aggressive in their QB search.
BUF gives 2.61, Conditional 22 4th to HOU for DE Watt - Houston commits to a full rebuild by shipping off Watt, who garners a Day 2 pick. Watt can help fuel a Buffalo defense that was very underwhelming last year.
CHI gives 2.52, 3.83, 22 3rd, QB Foles to PHI for QB Wentz - Ultimately, I don't think Howie is getting a 1st for Wentz. But a 2nd and a pair of 3rds is not a bad haul for a "washed up" QB with a lot of money on the books. Chicago preserves their 1st while taking another shot at a franchise QB.
IND gives 2.54 to NYJ for QB Darnold, 5.147 - With Watson and Wentz gone, I didn't like any of the options for Indy. Ultimately, I think they'll bring in a veteran QB like Dalton or Newton to battle with Darnold. But for now, we'll give them Darnold, who still flashes some great tools.
CLE gives TE Njoku, 5.170 to NE for CB Gilmore - In a rare player swap, the Pats pick up an offensive weapon and the Browns find a CB to play opposite Ward.
Day 1-2 explanations
  1. JAX - QB Trevor Lawrence, Clemson - Won't discuss this too much. Lawrence is clearly the pick.
  2. NYJ - QB Justin Fields, Ohio St - While I could see Wilson being the pick, I still have Fields higher on my board.
  3. TRADE - CAR gives 1.08, 2.39, 5.152, 22 1st, 22 3rd to MIA for 1.03 - QB Zach Wilson, BYU - I used the 2018 IND-NYJ trade as a general outline for this deal. Unable to give up the picks necessary to secure Watson, Carolina takes the talented Wilson, who has an insanely accurate arm. It might be a lot to give up, but there's a real gap between Wilson and Lance.
  4. ATL - OT Penei Sewell, Oregon - I wasn't in love with any real options for ATL here. It's too early for Paye or Rousseau, and I'm not convinced Lance is the guy for Arthur Smith. So I'll do the "safe" thing and take Sewell. He'll shift around the OL a bit, but it'll allow Arthur Smith to continue some of the hogmolly work he was doing in Tennessee.
  5. CIN - OT Rashawn Slater, Northwestern - Even if Sewell is gone, OT is the clear need for this team.
  6. PHI - WR Ja'Marr Chase, LSU - Chase should open up this offense and keep the likes of Greg Ward and Travis Fulgham to a limited snap count.
  7. DET - LB Micah Parsons, Penn St - While I debated going Devonta, I think Parsons makes sense for what Dan Campbell wants to do. He's a rough, tough player that'll bite your kneecaps off.
  8. MIA - WR Devonta Smith, Alabama - The first Bama player off the board, this was a pretty easy pick for a team without a true WR1.
  9. DEN - CB Caleb Farley, VT - I'm not sure if Farley or Surtain will be the pick, but I'll take Farley due to the upside.
  10. DAL - CB Patrick Surtain, Alabama - The 2019 Bama CB group is reunited in Dallas. Surtain should be a day 1 starter for a terrible defense.
  11. NYG - EDGE Kwity Paye, Michigan - I really like the progress Paye showed in 2020. Judge should feel confident that he can step up in a big way as a rookie.
  12. SF - QB Trey Lance, NDSU - In this mock, the 9ers don't get their hands on a veteran QB. Instead, they keep Jimmy G as a mentor for the young Trey Lance, who takes a graceful fall out of the top 10. Lance should learn plenty from a year on the bench.
  13. LAC - OT Christian Darrisaw, VT - Darrisaw is actually one of my favorite prospects in this class. I think he's right up there with Slater. The Bolts get a steal.
  14. TRADE - JAX gives 1.25, 3.65 to MIN for 1.14 - TE Kyle Pitts, Florida - The Jags jump ahead of the Pats for the draft's star TE. Pitts should be an early favorite for non-Lawrence rookie of the year and a Day 1 starter for Jacksonville.
  15. NE - WR Jaylen Waddle, Alabama - The Patriots should have one goal this offseason: fix their passing game. Waddle is a dynamic threat that should help with that.
  16. ARI - CB Jaycee Horn, South Carolina - Horn is alone in the 2nd tier of my CB rankings. He should be an early starter for a lackluster Cardinals secondary.
  17. LV - LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Notre Dame - JOK is a solid value here for a Raider defense that didn't have any star power in 2020.
  18. MIA - EDGE Gregory Rousseau, Miami - I really like Rousseau's value here. He's a bit raw, but he should develop beautifully under Flores.
  19. HOU - QB Mac Jones, Alabama - I think Mac will only continue to rise up boards. I have Houston taking him here as their QB of the future.
  20. CHI - OL Alijah Vera-Tucker, USC - Whether he plays OT or OG, AVT is a beast. He should add some toughness to a poor Bears blocking group.
  21. IND - OT Sam Cosmi, Texas - I'm not in love with any OTs after Darrisaw and Slater, but Cosmi is a decent value. He's a bit raw, which is a concern. However, he'll give the Colts a great shot at replacing Castanzo.
  22. TEN - EDGE Joe Tryon, Washington - I'm in love with Tryon after watching his tape. He's a tough, physical, versatile edge rusher that can set the tone of the game.
  23. NYJ - EDGE Quincy Roche, Miami - Roche might be the most polished edge player in this class. The Jets get a day 1 contributor here.
  24. PIT - RB Najee Harris, Alabama - Everything about Harris just screams Pittsburgh to me. He's a tough nosed, patient runner that combines the best parts of Derrick Henry and Le'Veon Bell. I know they need OL, but I think there's a huge drop at RB after Harris.
  25. MIN - DT Marvin Wilson, FSU - I know that Wilson had a down year, but his 2019 tape screams top 10 pick. I think the Vikings take a shot on him to fill their 3T spot.
  26. CLE - EDGE Joseph Ossai, Texas - Ossai is a fun powerful prospect that should fill the role of the departed Olivier Vernon.
  27. BAL - WR Rashod Bateman, Minnesota - Bateman is a tall chain mover that gives Baltimore an alpha WR. It'll let Hollywood open up the field and allow Lamar to play a more relaxed game.
  28. NO - CB Tyson Campbell, Georgia - While I am tempted to reach for Trask here, I think Loomis will want to transition the team to a defense first organization focused on running the offense through AK and MT.
  29. GB - DT Christian Barmore, Alabama - With Campebll off the board, I'm not sure there's a CB that fits the Packers' needs. Barmore is a powerful upside prospect that should eventually start at 3T for the Packers.
  30. BUF - OG Wyatt Davis, Ohio St - The Bills want to address their running game, and Davis is a great way to do that. He's a hard nosed tough lineman that is scheme versatile.
  31. KC - C Creed Humphrey, Oklahoma - Come on. We all saw what just happened to Mahomes. Chiefs go OL.
  32. TB - EDGE Azeez Ojulari, Georgia - With Barrett entering free agency and JPP getting up in age, Ojulari is a prime pick for a Bucs team that hopes to keep riding their defense to another championship.
  33. JAX - DT Daviyon Nixon, Iowa - Jags have needs all over. Nixon is BPA for me right now.
  34. NYJ - OT Liam Eichenberg, Notre Dame - Similar to JAX, the Jets have plenty of needs. But I think protecting Fields is the priority.
  35. ATL - RB Javonte Williams, UNC - Smith continues to build his team in the mold of the 2019-20 TEN teams with this pick. Williams is a rough runner that plows through traffic.
  36. MIA - C Landon Dickerson, Alabama - The Dolphins OL isn't bad by any means, but Dickerson will be a great asset.
  37. PHI - CB Greg Newsome, Northwestern - Eagles have a bunch of needs on defense. They haven't shown the wanting for a LB, so I'm taking the next best DB.
  38. CIN - DT Levi Onwuzurike, Washington - Onwuzurike was a lot of fun to watch. He's a powerful 3T that consistently gets a bull rush. He'll look to replace Geno Atkins as the next phase of the Bengals defense.
  39. MIA - RB Travis Etienne, Clemson - The Phins stop Etienne's fall at 39. He's a dynamic back that can take any carry to the house.
  40. DEN - OT Alex Leatherwood, Alabama - Broncos take Leatherwood, who's up there with Eich and Cosmi in the 3rd tier of OTs. He'll take over at RT for this team.
  41. DET - WR Rondale Moore, Purdue - The Lions' patience pays off as they see Rondale fall to them. Moore is a super dynamic big play threat. He's struggled to stay healthy, but he can be a huge asset when on the field.
  42. NYG - WR Tylan Wallace, Oklahoma St - The Giants select one of my favorite WRs in the class. Wallace doesn't look super impressive, but he plays taller than he stands and he runs faster than he looks.
  43. SF - OG Trey Smith, Tenn - After grabbing the QB of the future, the 9ers address their iOL, which was terrible in 2020. Smith is a tough player that has a great upside.
  44. DAL - EDGE Jaelan Phillips, Miami - Dallas defense needs help everywhere. I'm taking BPA, which is Phillips.
  45. JAX - OT Jalen Mayfield, Michigan - I'm not super high on Mayfield myself, but I don't actually see him falling that far. Look for a team like the Jags to take a chance on him to be their LT.
  46. NE - QB Kyle Trask, Florida - I doubt Pats fans are jumping with joy over this pick, but I think it makes sense if Bill isn't able to bring in a big name veteran. I think the Pats bring in a Dalton/Tyrod/Fitzpatrick type player to battle with Trask.
  47. LAC - OT James Hudson, Cincinnati - I think Hudson might move to OG, but he's a solid prospect. High upside, good athleticism, and good functional strength. Chargers give Herbert a lot of help early in this draft.
  48. LV - S Trevon Moehrig, TCU - Raiders keep adding to their defense by getting what might be the best coverage safety in the class.
  49. ARI - WR Kadarius Toney, Florida - While Kirk has been solid, the Cards could use a real WR2 next to Nuk. I think Toney fits the mold.
  50. MIA - S Jevon Holland, Oregon - Holland is actually my top safety. He's a physical versatile player that didn't have a true position in college. I expect Flores to convert him into a stellar safety.
  51. WAS - WR Terrace Marshall, LSU - WAS adds a real WR2 to play next to Terry. No more Cam Sims.
  52. PHI - LB Zaven Collins, Tulsa - I think Collins is really getting underrated. He'll be a great player in the pros, and Philly should feel comfortable taking him here, LB or not.
  53. TEN - TE Pat Freiermuth, Penn St - With Jonnu and Firkser both entering FA, TE makes sense for the Titans. Pat F should help the run game just as much as he helps the passing game.
  54. NYJ - WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, USC - With ARSB next to Mims, Fields should have a solid young WR duo to chuck it up to.
  55. PIT - OT Dillon Radunz, NDSU - Steelers need to add youth to their OL. Radunz is my favorite OL on the board.
  56. SEA - EDGE Jayson Oweh, Penn St - Oweh has been rumored to run better than a 4.5 at 250, which would be crazy. He's a super high upside prospect that can help with getting pressure on the QB.
  57. LAR - EDGE Carlos Basham, Wake Forest - I'm not too high on Basham, but he should be a fine value for the Rams here. Playing next to Donald should make the transition to the pros a lot easier.
  58. BAL - OG Deonte Brown, Alabama - After adding a big bodied WR in the 1st, the Ravens shore up a depleted OL with a mauler from Bama.
  59. CLE - DT Jaylen Twynam, Pitt - With Vernon leaving an opening at DE, that leaves DT as the next position to address. The Browns take Twynam, one of the more under the radar 3T prospects in this class.
  60. NO - LB Nick Bolton, Mizzou - Bolton is a dynamic player. He plays fast and hard. He should add some toughness to this defense.
  61. HOU - CB Eric Stokes, Georgia - While Stokes doesn't have the upside of his UGA teammate, he should be a solid all around player in the pros. He'll take over as a crucial player on a young defense.
  62. GB - CB Aaron Robinson, UCF - While Robinson won't run a 4.4, he's a well rounded tough DB that should help a porous secondary.
  63. KC - EDGE Hamilcar Rashed, Oregon St - Chiefs had so much trouble stopping the run on Sunday. Rashed should help.
  64. TB - DT Marlon Tuipulotu, USC - Suh's impending free agent status makes Tuipulotu a solid pick here.
  65. MIN - S Ar'Darius Washington, TCU - Washington is a bit small for the position, but playing next to Harrison Smith should allow him to play comfortably.
  66. NYJ - CB Shaun Wade, Ohio St - I still really like Wade as a slot player. He's super tough. He's a BPA pick for the Jets.
  67. HOU - EDGE Victor Dimukeje, Duke - Dimukeje is a solid prospect that should help put pressure on opposing QBs.
  68. ATL - CB Asante Samuel, FSU - After going OL-RB, the Falcons finally grab defense. Samuel should help a bad defense.
  69. (nice)CIN - WR D'Wayne Eskridge, W Mich - I love Eskridge. I think he can go in the top 50. He should quickly become one of Burrow's favorite targets in Cincy.
  70. PHI - S Paris Ford, Pitt - Eagles keep adding to their defense with a downhill player in Ford.
  71. DEN - S Hamsah Nasirildeen, FSU - Nas is a high upside athlete with a great profile. He'll push for snaps next to Simmons.
  72. DET - DT Tommy Tagiai, Ohio St - Lions keep adding to their defense, rebuilding the front 7 quickly.
  73. CAR - LB Dylan Moses, Alabama - While Moses's stock has taken a big drop this year, the Panthers need help at LB. Moses is a solid prospect here.
  74. WAS - TE Brevin Jordan, Miami - WFT keeps adding weapons for Watson with Jordan, who is a great value here considering where Pitts went in the 1st.
  75. DAL - OT Walker Little, Stanford - Little seems like a very Jery Jones pick to me. He adds depth to a shallow OL.
  76. NYG - CB Deommodore Lenoir, Oregon - Lenoir is one of the prospects I think is going under the radar. He's a solid value for a Giants team with a need at CB.
  77. LAC - Patrick Jones, Pitt - Chargers add a rotational pass rusher to replace Ingram.
  78. MIN - OG Ben Cleveland, Georgia - Vikings add a potential starting OG to their terrible iOL.
  79. ARI - RB Kenneth Gainwell, Memphis - Gainwell in the Kingsbury system is something I really want to see. He's an exciting runner with great hands.
  80. LV - DT Jay Tufele, USC - A lot higher on some boards, Tufele takes a bit of a fall to the Raiders, where he'll push for snaps as the 3T.
  81. MIA - LB Jabril Cox, LSU - A transfer out of NDSU, Cox goes here to a Miami team that has gotten consistently good play out of underrated LBs.
  82. WAS - S Richard LeCounte, Georgia - LeCounte is a smart patient free safety that should slot in next to Kam Curl for this Rivera defense.
  83. PHI - EDGE Dayo Odeyingbo, Vandy - Eagles keep adding to their defense. They need to get a deep stable of pass rushers if they're ever going to see the Superbowl again.
  84. IND - CB Paulson Adebo, Stanford - Adebo is a raw but super physical prospect. I trust this Indy staff to get the most out of him.
  85. TEN - WR Nico Collins, Michigan - I'm not sure where Collins will go after playing with some miserable QBs, but he has a decent shot at replacing Corey Davis as the WR2 in Nashville.
  86. NYJ - RB Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma St - While Hubbard isn't garnering as much hype this time as he was last year, he's still a solid runner with good vision. He's a good value for the Jets, who I don't expect to enter the year with just Gore and Perine.
  87. PIT - TE Hunter Long, BC - PIT is taking Long to add to their TE depth.
  88. DET - EDGE Jordan Smith, UAB - Lions really focused on front 7 in this draft.
  89. CLE - LB Cameron McGrone, Michigan - Browns finally take a LB, and it's a pretty good value. McGrone has shown good traits in coverage and should see a lot of snaps as a rookie.
  90. MIN - WR Tutu Atwell, Louisville - Atwell is a super interesting prospect. He should add a unique element to this Vikes' offense.
  91. CLE - CB TJ Carter, Memphis - Browns add some depth to their DB room, giving them flexibility on the expiring deals of Gilmore and Greedy.
  92. GB - WR Sage Surratt, Wake Forest - Surratt is the premier big bodied WR of the draft. There are some questions on his separation skills, but he fits the mold of Packers WRs.
  93. BUF - CB Elijah Molden, Washington - Bills add depth across to Tre White.
  94. KC - WR Dyami Brown, UNC - Chiefs are projected to lose a lot of WR talent in FA. Brown should provide something different from Tyreek and Mecole.
  95. TB - RB Jaret Patterson, Buffalo - Patterson should fill the role that Fournette will be leaving. He's a tough between the tackles runner.
  96. DAL - S Andre Cisco, Syracuse - Cisco is a high upside player that adds to a bad Dallas defense.
  97. LAC - CB Ifeatu Melifonwu, Syracuse - Chargers add depth at a depleted position.
  98. SF - CB Israel Mukuamu, South Carolina - 9ers are facing a mass exodus at CB. They need replacements.
  99. NE - DT Tyler Shelvin, LSU - Shelvin is the best pure NT of the class. Pats need a true NT.
  100. TEN - DT Alim McNeill, NC State - Titans look to improve one of the worst defenses in the league.
  101. LAR - OT Jackson Carman, Clemson - I think Carman might need to kick in to OG, but the Rams could use depth across the OL.
  102. LAR - LB Pete Werner, Ohio St - Another combination of BPA and need for the Rams.
  103. BAL - EDGE Ronnie Perkins, Oklahoma - With Yann and Judon both entering FA, the Ravens look for a cheap productive player.
  104. NO - QB Kellen Mond, Texas A&M - While the Saints didn't want to reach on Trask in the 1st, Mond might make sense at this price if things don't work out with Jameis.
  105. NO - WR Elijah Moore, Ole Miss - Moore is a fun playmaker that should open things up for the likes of MT and Adam Trautman.

Uggs' Full Offseason Mock (Staff Changes, FA, and 7 Rd Mock)

Heyo. I've (for some reason) decided to venture out into creating a mock of the entire offseason (up to the draft). It's taken me quite a while, but it has been an interesting exercise. Note that I am not a cap expert by any means. But I used overthecap for all my figures and have taken a stab at what I think teams should/would do. Let me know if I misunderstood something. Draft order from Tankathon.
Full mock available here
Team by team notes:
NFC NORTH
GB
This scenario has the packers losing in the NFC Championship game. With limited cap space, there are some crucial cap actions taken. Trading/cutting Rodgers would free up the most space, but he's having an MVP year and Jordan Love is still on the bench behind Tim Boyle. Preston Smith is cut, freeing up $12M. While Smith was phenomenal in 2019, he's taken a step back this year with only 4 sacks compared to the 10.5 he had at this same point last year. 2nd year man Rashan Gary has taken a step up as well, starting the last 2 games and totaling the same amount of sacks on nearly half the snaps. WR Davante Adams also only has one year on his deal, so an extension is obvious. That should free up some cap this year (I've estimated $4M). Lazard and Tonyan are also retained on minimal deals.
In the draft, the Packers have several needs to address. In the 1st, I gave them WR Rondale Moore, who I think is the perfect compliment to Adams. Moore should excel in the slot, and his ability to take any catch to the house will open up the playbook for Rodgers and Adams. Randunz is the next acquisition. This allows the Packers to slide Billy Turner into RG, filling some of the interior void left by Linsley's departure. Onwuzurike, Jack Jones, and Werner fill obvious needs. Borghi is a pick to fill out the RB corps. I expect Dillon to be the lead back in 2021, but the 250 lbs back only had 21 career receptions. Borghi should be the perfect spell to Dillon. He had 4x the receiving work in 2019 alone.
MIN
In the current standings, the Vikes are the 7th seed. Cousins's play over the last month has bolstered the team's confidence in him, and a move can be made to compete in 2021. By cutting Reiff and Rudolph, the team frees nearly $20M in cap, giving them room to re-sign Odenigbo and Dozier, two under the radar players who have been solid for us in 2020. Andy Dalton comes in to be the backup to Cousins, and John Miller will compete at RG as we move Ezra Cleveland to LT.
With safety unaddressed in free agency, Jevon Holland is an obvious first round pick. Holland is a smart, physical player. While he hasn't shown super versatile tape at Oregon, I believe he has the athleticism to succeed in either safety spot. Zion Johnson, Charlie Kolar, and Dante Stills add depth to three positions that need it. Rakeem Boyd at 201 was a value pick to me. It'll give us flexibility when Mattison's contract is up.
CHI
Chicago has had a miraculous fall from grace. The offseason begins with a complete overhaul in the front office. Pace is coasting off the Mack trade and Fangio's subsequent work with the defense, but his failures in the QB room are inexcusable. Robert Saleh comes in to lead the team, getting the Bears back to the formula that has proven successful over the history of their franchise: defense. He brings Anthony Lynn in to run the offense, a coach that will get the most out of the running game.
The big move for the bears is the acquisition of Carson Wentz. I wasn't sure what Wentz's price would be, but the Bears move from 44 to 70 and give up a future 5th to pick up Wentz and his monstrous contract. Wentz has proven in the past that he can be an MVP caliber player. With a strong defense and a run-oriented offense, the hope is for Wentz to be able to manage the game early in Chicago to re-build his confidence. The team also brings in Corey Davis to replace Allen Robinson. While Davis isn't the dominant alpha he was drafted to be, he proved this year that he can be a solid player that frees up space for someone like Darnell Mooney.
Finding a QB via trade gives the Bears the chance to draft Alex Leatherwood to replace the now-cut Bobby Massie at OT. Atwell in the 3rd gives the Bears a dangerous weapon to play next to Davis, and Ford should challenge Gipson for starting reps early. This draft focuses on building Saleh's dream team.
DET
The second team in the division to overhaul their staff, the Lions lure Lincoln Riley away from Oklahoma. Riley brings in an experienced Thomas Dimitroff, who built multiple great teams in Atlanta, to take care of the finer details, and Mike Smith comes in to run the defense. Riley is a young coach that will get the most out of Stafford and his young offense. He'll implement a creative passing attack complimented by a dangerous duo on the ground.
The big move of the offseason is franchise tagging Kenny Golladay. Golladay is a talented WR in the prime of his career. This team shouldn't let him walk. But with a new regime and with Golladay coming off an injury-riddled year, a one year prove it deal makes sense for both sides. Nicholas Williams, Danny Shelton, and Christian Jones are all cut as well, creating over $12M in cap space.
With Golladay retained, there are no obvious holes in the starting offensive lineup. At 12, they get a call from New Orleans with an offer akin to what the Bills got in the Mahomes trade. While Marvin Wilson, Caleb Farley, and Joseph Ossai are tempting, so is the chance to build a long term future for this team. At 31, the Lions draft LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah out of Notre Dame. JOK is an athletic LB with plenty of experience starting. He and Christian Barmore are instant starters for this lackluster front. Kadarius Toney comes in to compliment Golladay. A bit of an older prospect, Toney is a dynamic athlete that gives the Riley a fun toy. Watson in the 3rd will rotate across from Flowers. And D'Eriq King at 132 is an interesting project for this team. King has all the talent in the world, and he's having a good year at Miami. He's just inconsistent. There is a chance he's the heir to Stafford in the Motor City.
NFC WEST
LAR
The Rams are in a bit of a tight spot cap wise. With so much money tied into just a handful of players, Les Snead is forced to let a lot of key contributors go. Whitworth retires, and A'Shawn Robinson is cut. Higbee, Woods, and Kupp are asked to restructure their deals. Darious Williams gets an RFA tender to stay with the team, and Riley Reiff is brought in to replace Whitworth at LT.
In the draft, the Rams must focus on filling out the spots on their roster that aren't supported by one of the 4 or 5 superstars on the team. Victor Dimukeje is the first pick, addressing an edge spot. Deonte Brown gives the team some flexibility with Blythe leaving in FA. The rest of the draft are prospects we hope to take over in a couple years.
SEA
The Seahawks are in a bit of a surprising spot as one of the only powerhouse teams with a plethora of cap space. That cap space allows them to retain several key free agents, including the Griffin brothers, Geno Smith, Ethan Pocic, and Chris Carson. They also have the space to extend Lockett and Jamal Adams on front loaded deals. Unfortunately, the Seahawks only have four picks in this draft. They need to make the most out of those picks, adding a pass rusher, a depth CB, an OL, and a potential WR3.
ARI
The Cardinals are oh so close to being a real threat. They retain a couple key free agents in Patrick Peterson and Hasaan Reddick, while adding Jamaal Williams to utilize alongside Edmonds. Bashaud Breeland is also added. He has played well in spurts in KC and should compete with a rookie to be the starter opposite Peterson in nickel and dime.
With only 5 picks in the draft and with the top 2 CBs off the board at 15, the Cardinals are looking to trade down. The Jets send over an offer, the Arizona netting the 2.33 and 5.161 to move down 10 spots. That allows the team to add lauded Gamecocks CB Jaycee Horn as well as a mauler in Trey Smith. Brevin Jordan and Tamorrion Terry join the skill position group, giving the team options with Fitzgerald gone and Kirk in a contract year. The rest of the draft adds depth to the defense.
SF
I debated moving Garroppolo, but I think he works well in the Shanahan offense and deserves a chance to play healthy ball. Instead, I have the 9ers trading for S Malcolm Jenkins to lead the secondary. Richard Sherman also returns on a team friendly deal, along with Trent Williams, Kyle Juszczyk, and Nick Mullens. Dee Ford is cut, freeing $16M in cap space. And Todd Gurley is added on a cheap deal to fill out a RB corps with almost everybody leaving in FA.
The 9ers are true to their needs in the draft. They stop Caleb Farley's freefall at 14 before grabbing a starting center in the 2nd. Then they double down on CB again before adding a depth edge rusher and a WR3. Felton and Mond are interesting prospects that should be given the chance to learn.
NFC SOUTH
NO
The Saints are in cap hell. No doubt about it. So a lot of my moves were to try to relinquish them from that terrible spot. After 2 injury riddled seasons, Drew Brees retires. A number of cuts are made to key players with big cap numbers, including Kwon Alexander ($13.4M), Janoris Jenkins ($10M), Nick Easton ($6M), David Onyemata ($7.5M), and Malcolm Brown ($5M). Lattimore and Ramczyk are extended, freeing up a bit of 2021 space and kicking the can down the road.
In the draft, I made a move that I'm sure will go unquestioned by Saints fans: I traded the farm for Zach Wilson. In a package similar to the Chiefs' trade up for Mahomes, the Saints give a future 1st along with this year's 2nd and 4th to to move to 12 to draft Wilson ahead of the Bears and 49ers. I know that Taysom Hill has been effective as the starting QB in Brees's absence, but I still have doubts about his long term viability. Wilson gives them a bit more. He's got a super consistent arm and is strong on the ground. His rookie deal gives the Saints the chance to build a powerhouse again. He, Ramczyk, Lattimore, Kamara, and Thomas will be the future of the Saints.
New Orleans spends the rest of the draft addressing their depth chart. Vincent can push for a starting role. Coxie adds to a depleted WR corps. Smith, Landman, and Jones join a defense with plenty of established leaders.
TB
The big news with the Bucs is that Brady is back. That gives this whole team one more shot at running the table. With a good amount of cap space, the team is able to re-sign Godwin and David to long term deals. Sheldon Rankins and Le'Veon Bell join the team as well to replace the departed Suh and Fournette, respectively. However, Shaquille Barrett is a free agent departure, chasing greener (read: money) pastures in Boston.
The focus on the draft is to find players that will help the team win now. In the 1st round, Quincy Roche from Miami is the choice. Roche is a well-developed edge rusher with a wide variety of moves to beat OTs. He should start across from JPP immediately. Etienne is the second pick. While Ronald Jones and Le'Veon Bell are a formidable duo, Etienne is something else. He's an uber talented back that can do everything you want in a bellcow. He'll challenge for RB1 snaps early. Mayfield falls to the Bucs at 84; he'll spend a year learning from Donovan Smith before taking over at LT. Robertson and Ferguson address depth needs. Thomas and Bryant are an attempt to find some upside players that can be efficient rotating into the lineup. And Franks is a Mr. Irrelevant with a cannon arm that is a pure upside dart throw
ATL
The first thing to discuss with Atlanta is their revamped front office. Nick Caserio comes over from New England, and he brings along with him Chiefs' ST coordinator Dave Toub to take over as head coach. Toub runs a stout unit in KC, and he should be able to enforce some discipline to a lackluster group. He brings in Matt Nagy to run the offense and Anthony Weaver to run the defense.
The offseason is one dedicated to building a team in Toub's mold. Overpaid and underproductive, Dante Fowler, Ricardo Allen, Allen Bailey, and James Carpenter all get the boot. Kenyan Drake is brought in to start at RB, and Romeo Okwara comes over from a quietly solid year in Detroit.
The draft for Atlanta is about maintaining a solid core this year while finding pieces for the future. They select the first edge rusher of the class, Michigan's Kwity Paye. Paye is an athletic freak that has managed to turn upside into actual production in his 2020 campaign. They also add Mac Jones in the 2nd round, giving the team options if/when Matt Ryan hangs it up. Adebo in the 3rd and Sterns in the 4th are physical players that can push for starting time while playing Toub's brand of football. Zamir White at 149 adds youth to an older RB group.
CAR
Matt Rhule has built a solid team in Charlotte. The wins aren't always there, but the team plays tough and has a great foundation. Rhule's first task of the offseason is to replace Joe Brady. He does so by promoting OL coach Pat Meyer, who has been coaching on the offensive side of the ball for over a decade. They retain their OT duo in Okung and Moton with a pair of big contracts, and they manage to bring back Mike Davis.
The first 6 picks of the draft fall perfectly for the Panthers. Micah Parsons is the best defender in the draft, and the Panthers have been abysmal at LB without Kuechly. Vera-Tucker in the 2nd gives the team a new starter at OG, while Newsome, Wiggins, and Taylor give the team the ability to show different personnel groupings.
NFC EAST
NYG
The Giants are having a good year under Joe Judge. So good that Dave Gettleman actually keeps his job. The first act of the offseason? Cutting Kevin Zeitler. While Zeitler has been a solid player for the G-men, he frees $12M in cap space, giving them room to sign Leonard Williams, Logan Ryan, and Kyler Fackrell to long term deals.
The draft is where Judge and Gettleman build on the strong foundation they have. Ossai is a mammoth pass rusher that reminds me of Z Smith. Patrick Graham should have a lot of fun with him. And Tylan Wallace, while he won't be confused with Ja'Marr Chase, is an underrated route runner with an excellent catch radius. The rest of the draft fills out the starting lineup while also finding good value.
WAS
Ron Rivera has built a strong team in DC. He'll keep the core of his team while making a couple splash moves. First is retention. With plenty of cap space, the Football Team is able to sign Scherff, Darby, and Hopkins to long term deals. They also trade a 6th rounder for Emmanuel Sanders to help the Saints get out of cap hell, and they are able to attract a few key free agents: LB Jayon Brown, TE Zach Ertz, and OT Matt Feiler. This leaves Rivera without too many needs going into the draft.
That allows Rivera to make a big move: trading up for Trey Lance. Yes the Football team gives up a handful of picks including two 2nds to move up for their franchise QB. While some prefer Wilson, I think Lance is the perfect prospect to sit behind Alex Smith (who is actually my pro comp for him). He'll learn from the same mind that molded Patrick Mahomes, taking over the reigns once Rivera is confident in him. The rest of the Washington draft is a solid group of supporting cast. Carman is a solid OT for Clemson, and McGrone can get some quality reps in as a rookie. Tre Walker should usurp Cam/Steven Sims as the WR3 and Hufanga gives the team some flexibility on defense.
PHI
This Eagles team is a really hard one to predict. I'm choosing one particular path this time, but things could just as easily move in a day or two. For now, Pederson and Roseman's SB win gets them another year with the team. However, Hurts's upward climb puts Carson Wentz on the outs. I'm not sure what Wentz's price will be, but the Eagles are just trying to free some cap. They offload his contract to the Bears for a move up the draft board from 70 to 44, as well as a conditional 5th.
This offseason also has a ton of cuts for Philly. On top of Kelce's retirement, Goodwin, Jeffery, DeSean, Ertz, and Malik Jackson are cut. Barnett is extended and Graham's deal is restructured. This just barely gets the team in the black. They don't have any room to sign free agents.
With heavy turnover in free agency, the draft should be focused on getting help for Jalen Hurts. Ja'Marr Chase at 6 is perhaps the easiest way to do so. Chase is a better prospect than any of the WRs from last year's class, and he and Reagor will form the best young WR duo in the league. Myers in the 2nd gives the team a replacement for Kelce, and Moses shortly afterward replaces Nate Gerry. The rest of the draft adds depth, with some very good value picks in Teague and Clemons.
DAL
The Cowboys start the offseason by firing Mike Nolan and hiring McCarthy's old buddy Dom Capers to run the defense. Their next priority is retaining Dak Prescott, and they'll let everyone else walk to get it done. Dak signs a long term deal for $38.5M a year, giving this team a strong offensive core to build around.
In the draft, Dallas addresses their terrible defense. Surtain is the pick at 1.04, reuniting the 2019 Crimson secondary. Moehrig is a dynamic safety that will continue improving their defense. Slater in the 3rd is a solid depth piece to play swing tackle and possibly OG for the Boys. Jamie Newman in the 4th is a fun pick. He's a raw talent with a very inconsistent arm. But there is hope that he'll get his arm in check and develop into a very capable QB behind Dak.
AFC NORTH
PIT
With the best record in the league, the Steelers are currently slated to win the SB. That means a lot of beer, and a lot of turnover. Ebron and Vince Williams are cut, making room for extensions for Watt and Fitzpatrick. DeCastro and Tuitt are restructured and Villanueva returns on a cheap deal. After a joke in April that he's already bought a beach house in Malibu, Ben stays for another year.
The draft is focused on getting cheap talent to supplement a strong defense centered around Watt, Fitzpatrick, and Bush. The Steelers trade out of their 1st round pick, adding a 4th and a future pick. At 2.40, they draft local TE Pat Freiermuth, the most well rounded prospect of the class. They then turn around and draft UNC's Javonte Williams to be the new lead back. Williams is a dynamic runner with a powerful mindset that should thrive in the Steel City. Christensen and Hutcherson provide a youth resurgence to the oldest OL in the league, and Desmond Ridder in the 4th is yet another attempt to find an eventual Big Ben replacement. With Jordan Berry having a poor couple years, the Steelers also add Oscar Bradburn in the 7th.
CLE
It's 2020 and the Browns finish ahead of the Ravens. Well in this scenario, Cleveland has plenty of cap to spend. And they are going to get the most out of it before Mayfield, Chubb, and Ward are due for new deals. They re-sign Malcolm Smith to anchor their LB corps while shelling out money for two former Vikings (Xavier Rhodes, Anthony Harris) and adding Smith's former teammate (KJ Wright). They also manage to offload Njoku's $6M deal to the Jets for a 5th round pick.
In the draft, Cleveland fortifies their flawed defense. Jaylen Twynam out of Pitt is the first pick and is the obvious long term replacement for both Richardson and Ogunjobi. Carlos Basham from Wake falls to 60, where the Browns take him to play opposite DROY candidate Myles Garrett. Seth Williams sneaks into the 3rd. He'll be an interesting red zone guy for CLE. The rest of the draft addresses several depth needs on defense. Trey Sermon in the 5th gives this team flexibility to let either Chubb or Hunt walk when their deals expire. And Ian Book is an interesting late round pick to be the long term backup QB.
BAL
While the Ravens were unable to follow up their 2019 success, they do have plenty of cap to make a move for 2020. They retain a lot of their talent, including Jimmy Smith and RGIII. They cut Mark Ingram for $5M as well. There are two big moves in Baltimore though: re-signing Yannick Ngakoue for a below market deal and pulling Allen Robinson over from Chicago. The former will give the Ravens a true edge rusher for the next 3 years while the latter finally give Baltimore a chain mover on the outside.
Baltimore plays the draft how they usually do: excellently. They draft Wyatt Davis in the 1st, finding an actual replacement for the now 200 lbs Marshall Yanda. In the 2nd, they get a good deal with Michigan's Aidan Hutchinson, a high floor technical pass rusher to replace Matthew Judon. Garrett, Lake, and Fisher give the Ravens flexibility with the impending free agency status of guys like Brandon Williams, DeShone Elliott, and LJ Fort.
CIN
While I'm not sure Zac Taylor is the answer, history has shown that Mike Brown will sit on an inept coach for years. Something that does change is the firing of DC Lou Anarumo, who is replaced by PIT DL coach Karl Dunbar.
There are a couple obvious moves as the Bengals enter free agency. First is to cut OT and flat earth/anti vax enthusiast Bobby Hart, freeing $5.9M in cap. Then Williams Jackson is signed to a long term deal paying him $17.5M a year. Mike Brown lures matthew Judon away from Baltimore, adding a pass rusher that is much needed for this defense. And Marcus Mariota comes over on a cheaper deal to be the backup to Burrow.
At 1.03 the pick is obvious for Cincy: Oregon's Penei Sewell. Zaven Collins in the 2nd is a pick I quite like as well. He's a rangy LB that should give the middle of the defense a much needed face lift. And Patrick Jones in the 3rd should rotate in behind Hubbard and Judon as an effective edge player.
AFC WEST
KC
The 2019 Champs are a bit tight on cap this offseason, but they can easily free some space up by extending/restructuring Tyrann Mathieu and Eric Fisher. They also retain Demarcus Robinson on a cheap deal. They also have to contend with replacing OC Eric Bieniemy and ST Dave Toub, both of whom are now HCs. They do so by internally promoting QB coach Mike Kafka and Asst. ST coach Andy Hill.
In the draft, Andy Reid finds a local kid that can maul guys in Creed Humphrey. Sage Surratt, who is a skyscraper of a man, is a solid choice in the 2nd with so many WRs leaving in free agency. And Shaka Toney in the 3rd is an upside player that can rotate into the lineup. Hubbard falling all the way to 177 was a deal that was too good to pass up on. He fills the role left by Le'Veon Bell.
LV
Even though they are in a good spot cap-wise, the Raiders have a few obvious moves. Tyrell Williams, Marcus Mariota, and Richie Incognito are all cut, freeing over $28M in cap. Nelson Agholor and Devontae Booker, two surprisingly good free agent acquisitions last year, are both retained on multi-year deals. And Roy Robertson-Harris is signed from Chicago. This gives the Raiders some flexibility going into the draft.
With their first pick, they take my favorite DT in the class: FSU's Marvin Wilson. Wilson is a highly disruptive player that can play all over the DL. He's had a quiet year, but he will surely blow up the Combine. They also add Kyle Trask in the 2nd round. While Derek Carr has been good, Trask gives the Raiders a second option should they try to pin the blame for a disappointing season on someone. LeCounte in the 3rd is a great value in my book. He's a rangy playmaker that can start opposite Abram.
DEN
I think the team gives Elway and Fangio one more shot. Which in turn means that Drew Lock should be getting another year. The team focuses on giving Lock what he needs to succeed. They re-sign Tim Patrick and place cheap tenders on Alexander Johnson and Phillip Lindsay. They add S Marcus Williams to replace Justin Simmons and add Austin Blythe to take over at center. Trubisky comes in as a cheap backup as well.
Denver has a few key needs to address in the draft. In the 1st, they draft Samuel Cosmi to play RT. Cosmi is a bit raw, but he's got some solid tools and is a big upgrade over Demar Dotson. Then they add Eric Stokes in the 2nd to get younger in the secondary. Jabril Cox comes in to play next to Johnson, and Gainwell is a great value pick that gives the team flexibility with both Gordon and Lindsay on 1 year deals.
LAC
The Chargers are a team I have firing their coaching staff. While Lynn is a very likeable guy, he just isn't cutting it as the head coach. Instead, Telesco brings in Eric Bieniemy, who retains Gus Bradley on defense and brings over Michael Clay from SF to coach the special teams. Bieniemy is the cream of the crop this offseason, and he'll get the chance to work with perhaps the best young QB in the league.
The Bolts make some big moves in free agency. They extend Mike Williams and Casey Hayward and re-sign Henry and Ingram. They also bring in Corey Linsley to take over at center, as well as Winston and Fournette as backup players.
In the draft, the Chargers trade out of the 4th pick in exchance for a pair of 2nds and some later picks. This lets them draft OT Christian Darrisaw at 11, one of my favorite linemen in the draft. They also add Amon-Ra St. Brown and Deommodore Lenoir in the 2nd, two players that should see significant snaps as rookies. The rest of the class is largely spent providing depth to a defense whose money is largely spent on Joey Bosa. They also add a punter in the 6th to improve what might be the worst special teams unit of all time.
AFC SOUTH
TEN
The Titans don't have too splashy of an offseason here. They do lose OC Arthur Smith to a HC gig, but they bring Tim Kelly over from Houston to coach an offense that includes his brother. They also hire Joe Houston from New England to take over an atrocious special teams unit.
Free agency is quiet. The team re-signs Ty Sambrailo, Anthony Firkser, and Khari Blasingame. They also sign Eric Wilson from Minnesota. The big losses are TE Jonnu Smith, WR Corey Davis, and LB Jayon Brown.
The draft is where the Titans bolster their defense. They draft Penn State's Jayson Oweh in the first. He's a high upside pass rusher that should provide more of a presence than Clowney ever did. Chris Olave is a player I really like to replace CD's production. Jon Robinson doubles down at EDGE with Joe Tryon in the 3rd before addressing some needs with Molden, Eubanks, and Tonga. They are also the first team to draft a kicker, grabbing Evan McPherson out of Florida. McPherson has hit all but one career PAT, and he's got a career 86.8%, including two seasons of 89.5%.
IND
In the front office, the Colts lose DC Matt Eberflus to the Texans. To replace him, they hire Raheem Morris, who has put together a decent turnaround in Atlanta. With all of the cap space available to the team, the Colts are active in retaining talent. They bring back Rivers, Houston, and Autry. Then they extend Quenton Nelson and restructure Anthony Castonzo to free up even more money. They add Janoris Jenkins and Will Fuller in free agency, replacing Xavier Rhodes and TY Hilton. They do make a move for Sam Darnold, giving up a 3rd round pick to see if the former Trojan can be fixed by the QB guru that is Frank Reich.
The Colts address their needs in the draft. Shaun Wade's underwhelming season playing outside corner has him falling to Indy at 23. They then add Terrace Marshall in the 2nd, giving them one of the best young WR groups in the league. Koonce is a developmental prospect in the 3rd; he can hopefully take over for Houston when the time comes.
HOU
The Texans have a busy offseason. The bring Scot Fitterer from Seattle to sit in an actual general manager position. In turn, he hires Colts DC Matt Eberflus, who has gotten elite production from subpar talent during his time in Indy. Scot Linehan comes in to run the offense.
With the cap not doing anyone any favors, the Texans cut Duke Johnson and Brandon Dunn, freeing nearly $9M. They get the most out of their limited draft as well. They add Asante Samuel Jr in the 3rd and Nico Collins in the 4th, adding depth to two depleted positions. Ronnie Perkins rotates across from Watt and Martin, and Kylin Hill gives a bit of dynamics that David Johnson doesn't have.
JAX
While Doug Marrone still has a job, I have little doubt that he'll be unemployed come January. Instead, the Jags land the dream team in the front office. They pry George Paton (who has turned down multiple GM jobs) from Minnesota and hire the hottest hand in the league, Joe Brady, away from Carolina to run the team. Brady hires NO TE coach Dan Campbell to help him on offense and DL guru Andre Patterson from the Vikes to coach the defense. He also brings Phil Galiano from New Orleans to coach the special teams.
With over $80M in cap space and a new front office, the Jags are busy. They re-sign Keelan Cole and Cam Robinson. They also bring in Jacoby Brissett to mentor whatever QB they draft. Then they sign CB Troy Hill, TE Gerald Everett, and S Justin Simmons to big deals, addressing three big needs before draft night.
The draft goes swimmingly for Paton and crew. They make the obvious pick of Justin Fields at 2 overall, followed by Kyle Pitts at 26. Jay Tufele is a year removed from the football field, but he's one of the best DT prospects in the class. Kendrick is quietly having a solid year for Clemson, and Ar'Darius Washington falling to 66 is a steal for the Jaguars. They add depth in the later rounds with Dyami Brown, Michael Carter, and Monty Rice.
AFC EAST
BUF
The Bills start the offseason by freeing up cap space. They cut Quinton Jefferson, Lee Smith, and Vernon Butler, creating over $17M in space. They also re-sign Matt Milano to a big deal and restructure WR John Brown. Jonnu Smith comes over in free agency, replacing Tyler Kroft.
The draft sees the Bills add a big time athlete in CB Tyson Campbell. He may not be ready to start on day 1, but Campbell's profile is amazing for the position. They also add Jaelen Phillips in the 2nd and iOL Ben Cleveland in the 3rd, two pieces that should push for time as rookies.
MIA
Miami has built a solid team centered around a stout secondary and an elite special teams unit. While Tua hasn't been perfect, he has flashed the ability to win in the league. The Dolphins need to be stable around him. They bring back Fitzpatrick, Karras, and Haack. In the draft, the Phins are busy. They add local edge rusher Greg Rousseau at 9 overall. Rousseau is an uber talented athlete with lots of positional versatility. Then they come back at 22 and give Tua his old Bama teammate in Jaylen Waddle. I then got a bit aggressive to secure the 5th year option, trading up to 32 for another Bama kid: RB Najee Harris. While others might favor Etienne, Harris is the far superior runner between the tackles and is the most dynamic receiving RB I've ever seen. Chazz Surratt is an upside add in the 2nd, with Cisco not too far behind. Both are super instinctive defenders that should thrive under Flores.
NE
The Patriots are a bit hard to predict. They'll have Hightower, Chubg, LaCosse, and others return after an opt out season. But their big concerns are on offense. I've chosen to re-sign Cam Newton to a mid-level deal ($15M/year) and surround him with players that actually deserve to be on an NFL roster. They retain JC Jackson, James White, Deathrich Wise, Nick Folk, and Jakob Johnson. They also spend big money on Shaq Barrett on defense while reaching a cheap deal with JuJu Smith-Schuster.
In the draft, the Pats build from the ground up. They draft Minnesota's Rashod Bateman in the 1st. He is a big bodied route runner that should work well across from JuJu. Then they add a big run stuffer in Tyler Shelvin before adding depth in the middle of their defense with Moore and Harvell-Peel. Justyn Ross is a risky add medically, but at 134 Billy B is willing to take the chance. When healthy, Ross is a good red zone target.
NYJ
One of the most exciting offseason teams, the Jets are busy this year. Joe Douglas fires Adam Gase after going 0-16 and replaces him with the Titans' Arthur Smith, who adds Chuck Pagano to coach the defense and TJ Weist to work with the special teams. Smith has done incredible work in Nashville, getting top 10 production out of Ryan Tannehill and allowing Derrick Henry to break the game.
The first move of the offseason is to get rid of Darnold. The Colts are kind enough to offer a 3rd rounder for him. The Jets then send a 5th to the Browns for TE David Njoku before re-signing Brian Poole and Marcus Maye. In free agency, JD is eager to spend money. He signs Thuney to play guard, Dupree to rush the passer, Mike Hilton to start in the secondary, and Aaron Jones to take over for Frank Gore.
They don't just sit back in the draft either. After making the obvious pick of Trevor Lawrence at 1 overall, the Jets trade up with Arizona to take Devonta Smith at 15. Some are arguing that Smith is better than even Ja'Marr Chase at the WR position, so despite the depth of the class this is a move that is worth making. They then add another behemoth OT in Daniel Faalele before adding depth on defense.

Competitive Budget Deck Masterpost (October 2020)

All I know what to do anymore is summon Elpy, it's been so long. I don't know what yugioh is anymore. The other day, I summoned my monsters to set up Guardragon arrows. In goat format. Everything has become dragon to me. There are no other types, no other monsters besides for Fibrax. I have seen God, and I have seen the devil, but they are one and the same. I stared into the abyss and screamed, and it screamed back: "carrier target savage"

This post will give recommendations for decks that can generally do well while generally remaining in the $50 to $150 price range.
Not all decklists are perfect and this post is not an F. Unless there is a particularly offensive deckbuilding error that you want to point out, please don't use this thread to nitpick at the sample decklists provided. Decklists were built prioritizing simplicity and effectiveness on a budget. At the same time, if you want to try one of these decks, don't treat them as if they're perfect, either - you should experiment and play cards that feel comfortable and/or optimal to you.
Do feel free to leave suggestions for budget players, whether it's a budget tech choice for one of the decks on this list or whether it's a different deck that you think can compete in the coming months.

S Tier

The best bang for your buck. Decks in this category have the capacity to top premier events, though they're almost always supplemented with expensive power cards.

Dragon Link

Price: $100-150+ (depending on Extra Deck) Imgur | DuelingBook

Dinosaurs

Price: $100+ Imgur | DuelingBook

A Tier

Strong decks, but limited either by a lack of access to powerful staples or by the natural ceiling of the deck. You could still top a regional with one of these decks on a good day.

Subterror (Numeron)

Price: $100+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Subterrors are a control deck with a focus on flipping monsters face-down and generating constant advantage with Subterror Guru.
  • Numeron cards aim to make Number S0: Utopic ZEXAL going first or simply OTK going second. S0 is an extremely powerful card that can prevent the opponent from playing the game entirely if it resolves.
  • Subterror tends to want to resolve Subterror Guru as often as possible, and you can still do so after Numeron Calling restricts your ability to summon. You can simply set Guru and then flip it face-up with The Hidden City, so both parts of the deck can work in tandem.
    • Red-Eyes Fusion + Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon are frequently played in other Subterror decks for the same reason (however, Dragoon is not budget-friendly).
  • Though Numeron cards were hyped up before their release, they have seen little success in competitive play. S0 is a card that's better in theory than it is in practice, and Numeron variants have in general shown that they're not nearly as scary as some of the other decks out there. Subterror's notable event top this format, a top 16 finish at LCS 6, did not involve any Numeron cards and used Dragoon instead.
  • Pure Guru control without Numeron cards or Dragoon is also a viable option. Subterror can be extremely oppressive if it's allowed to establish its resource loop, particularly when backed up with There Can Be Only One. An example budget list is provided in the previous budget post, linked at the top of this post.

Salamangreat

Price: $50+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Link-based midrange deck with a lot of recursion and a special in-archetype technique, where 1 Link Monster is used as the entire Link material to summon another copy of that monster, granting bonus effects
  • The deck is somewhat halfway between control and combo, establishing respectable boards turn 1 with a fairly compact engine, allowing many handtraps to be played. Their real strength comes in turn 3 and beyond, where their arsenal of free summons from the GY, coupled with their stellar resource recycling, easily overwhelm the opponent.
  • The majority of the deck is dirt cheap and is mostly able to be built with commons from SOFU+SAST supplementing 3 copies of Structure Deck: Soulburner.
  • Accesscode Talker is a huge part of this deck's success online, able to steal games easily with the help of Update Jammer. Accesscode is not at all affordable on a budget, so the sample list plays Zeroboros instead. Owning one copy of Accesscode is an enormous improvement to this deck's strength.
  • Salamangreat has found little competitive success in bigger online tournaments this format, but still regularly performs well in smaller events, remote duel locals, and the like. It's also a fairly safe choice, as it's somewhat unlikely we see further Salamangreat hits on the next banlist.

Megalith

Price: $50+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Combo Ritual deck that searches basically everything in its deck, accruing a ridiculous amount of advantage
  • Famously piloted to a 2nd place finish at LCS 5 by Lundrity, making it farther than all of the Adamancipator players (the other deck from last format that abused Block Dragon). You can watch his deck profile here. Though the Block Dragon ban was a huge blow to this deck, it's still quite strong without it and can turn to Magician of Black Chaos MAX along with Megalith Bethor as its primary forms of disruption. None of the Megalith cards are expensive whatsoever, making this deck ludicrously cheap for how powerful it is.
  • The competitive version of this deck generally plays Fibrax combos, with 1 copy of Adamancipator Researcher teched into the main deck to get tuner access off of Gallant Granite. This opens up additional options, allowing you to go into cards like Hot Red Dragon King Calamity, but requires HalqKross and Researcher - which combined, cost more than the entire provided decklist.
  • High skill floor and weakness to Droll & Lock Bird could be a deterrent for some players.

Zoodiac

Price: $100+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Formerly an incredibly dominant deck, current Zoodiac has established a small niche for itself in the current meta despite having only 1 Drident. Part of this is due to Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops, which can be easily brought out through several one- and two-card combos. Megaclops can be immensely troublesome for many decks to out, and is extremely effective at closing games.
  • Plays a compact engine combined with around 20 slots dedicated to handtraps, traps, and draw power. Makes extremely effective use of the recently unlimited Pot of Avarice, as you can simply stack Xyz monsters, link them off for Gravity Controller, and easily fulfill the activation requirement for Avarice. Recent variants sometimes incorporate the Dogmatika cards as well, though the price of cards like Nadir Servant makes this option impossible on a budget.
  • The deck hasn't seen a ton of success in this format, but neither have most other decks. One reason it's high up on the post is in anticipation of Negalogia AA-Zeus, an extremely powerful card in Phantom Rage that has propelled this deck to tier 1 status in the OCG. Note that OCG has a generally slower metagame than us, and that OCG Zoo also has Utopic Future Dragon.
  • Zoo's price has gone up lately due to hype around the deck, notably with Chakanine being around $15 each in NA right now. Some people are speculating a Chakanine reprint in Maximum Gold, which would make this deck a lot cheaper. At the moment, the sample list only plays 2 Chak for budget reasons - ideally, you'd run 3.

B Tier

Like the above category, but generally weaker, less consistent, and/or impacted harder by a lack of access to a certain card(s).

Altergeist

Price: $100+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Control + backrow deck with incredible recursion and the ability to come back from almost no resources
  • Altergeist has seen sparse success ever since FLOD, and are a respectable budget contender. They've have had a fairly modest showing online, notably getting top 32 at the third online Luxury Championship Series.
  • Budget players are most hurt by a lack of Pot of Extravagance, Infinite Impermanence, Evenly Matched, and Linkross. The first three of these cards have reprints, but none are quite cheap enough yet to be easily accessible on a budget.
  • Be on the lookout for whenever Altergeist Pookuery gets imported to the TCG, as the ability to make Hexstia on turn 1 and then trigger its search effect with Linkross is insane for the deck's consistency.
  • The extra deck is extremely flexible (as Altergeist are typically played with Extravagance, anyway) and several options are simply tech cards, such as Elder Entity N'tss.
  • Main deck trap choices are also extremely flexible. Torrential is quite powerful against Dragon Link, but this could easily be swapped out for many other cards depending on your budget, available card pool, and locals demographics.
  • Some players have opted to include Dogmatika cards in this deck, which is viable even on a modest budget. It's possible to simply play Dogmatika Punishment as a powerful trap capable of utilizing your extra deck, and even a single copy of Ecclesia (around $20 each right now) goes a long way for improving the power of this package.

Sky Striker

Price: $100-150+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Spell-heavy control deck that usually maintains only one monster on the field at a time, in the extra monster zone.
  • Striker isn't affected too badly by many of the commonly played handtraps like Nibiru and go-second tech cards like Dark Ruler No More. It no longer accrues infinite resources through resolving Engage multiple times, but instead is easily able to kill you with an Accesscode Talker push after whittling down your LP and resources for a turn or two. The standard combo involves laddering from Halqifibrax -> Selene -> Accesscode and then dismantling your opponent's board before swinging for game.
  • You may have noticed a problem: if you're on a budget, you can't use Accesscode. This is a pretty big blow to the deck's overall strength. The provided sample list uses the Utopia Double package instead to steal games, a combo that some players are still using in their Sky Striker decks. For example, Zoé Weber played Double in the second EU Remote Duel Invitational, just a few days before this post was written.
  • Focusing on going second and resolving Mystic Mine as much as possible is also still a viable way to play this deck (and is more affordable with the Mine reprint), but you may struggle against decks that play Smoke Grenade of the Thief, like Infernoble and sometimes Dragon Link.
  • Yet another way to play this deck involves (surprise) Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon and multiple copies of Red-Eyes Fusion. Instead of using cards like Widow Anchor and Afterburners to muscle through disruption and stick a Mystic Mine on the field, you use them to get to your Dragoon and either win the game immediately or put yourself in a position where your opponent can't play through the Dragoon disrupt.
  • Roze is the most expensive card in this list, and 2 is generally considered standard. If your budget is tight, you can definitely cut her down to 1.

Traptrix

Price: $100+ (higher w/ Dogmatika package) Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Control deck with an extremely power Link 1 monster, Traptrix Sera, that pumps out constant advantage.
  • Commonly played as an Extravagance deck, but also makes solid use of its Extra Deck. In particular, Parallel eXceed is really nice for this deck, letting it end on multiple Rank 4s turn 1.
  • The sample list takes an interesting approach and incorporates a very small Dogmatika engine. Though the full Dogma engine is very expensive (with Nadir Servant clocking in at around $70 per copy right now), Dogmatika Punishment itself is very cheap, and is one of the best generic traps in the game right now. The addition of just 1 copy of Ecclesia (around $20) provides a substantial power boost to this mini-engine, as dumping one copy of Titaniklad with Punishment and grabbing an Ecclesia for next turn is extremely powerful.
  • If you can't get Ecclesia, you could simply play just Punishment as a generic trap, but this would still require 1-2 copies of N'tss (around $5-6 each). Another option is to play pure Traptrix, incorporating more power traps/handtraps, and quite frequently the Utopia Double package as well.
  • Like every other backrow deck on this post, you have a great deal of flexibility regarding which trap cards you play. This applies particularly to the Trap Hole options, as cards like Bottomless and Time-Space Trap Hole are also both viable. In the sample list, Floodgate is played at 3 due to being extremely powerful, and Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare was thrown in as it can negate cards like Verte Anaconda.

Burning Abyss

Price: $100+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Versatile control-based Graveyard toolbox deck that has been swinging in and out of meta relevance since its release way back in 2014.
  • Was one of the biggest beneficiaries of the September banlist, with Graff and Cir coming back to 2, Tour Guide coming to 3, and Rusty Bardiche being unbanned.
  • Generally played as a combo deck from 2018-2019, incorporating a multitude of options. This was considered the "standard" version of BA until Dinh-Kha Bui won a 130-player online German tournament in April with a much slower trap-heavy list.
    • The strategy is quite simple - set up Beatrice on turn 1 with backrow set, try to search a Tour Guide for turn 3, and push to win the game. The discard traps have good synergy with Farfa and Scarm in hand, and Fiend Griefing is powerful GY disruption that also dumps any BA, Rhino Warrior, Back Jack, or even Token Collector to stop Linkross combo decks.
  • The trap lineup can be customized to deal with different decks; cards like Torrential Tribute are strong vs. Dragons, while Ice Dragon's Prison is extremely powerful in several different matchups (but might be a little pricey for some).
  • This deck was frequently mixed with Phantom Knight cards back in 2016 (often called PK Fire), and the unbanning of Rusty Bardiche opens that up as a viable option once again. However, this variant is not shown due to cards like Fog Blade and Bardiche itself being a few bucks. PK Fire is also not substantially stronger compared to the regular trap variant.
  • Yet another possibility is a Synchro wombo combo deck involving (drumroll)... Halqifibrax, Linkross, and Dragoon. This is not covered here for obvious reasons.
  • The Mega-Tin reprint of I:P Masquerena is really nice, as a standard opening results in Masquerena + Beatrice off of Tour Guide alone. Players on a tight budget might not be able to pursue this option, as Masquerena and Knightmare Unicorn are both hovering at $10-13.

Madolche

Price: $100+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Combo deck with several one and two card OTKs that can rip apart established boards. Plus, everything is based on dessert puns.
  • Madolche got some fantastic support in recent years that dramatically boosted the power of this deck. Petingcessoeur in SAST and Salon/Promenade in ETCO are all amazingly good support cards.
  • Saw varied levels of success in online tournaments over the last two formats, with some occasional breakout performances like Ryan Yu winning the Luxury BLM charity event with this list (pre-ETCO), as well as Dinh-Kha Bui getting top 4 at an HTS tournament with Madolche, winning a Madolche mirror in top 8 to get there.
  • Has a weird niche as a viable going second deck that can break the Buster lock with the help of Puddingcess. Typically, you will also require a powerful going-second card like Dark Ruler No More.
  • Reprints of key Madolche cards such as Anjelly in BLAR and Magileine in DUOV have made this deck reasonably affordable again after many of its cards spiked earlier this year. There are still some strange aftereffects, such as Hootcake still being around $12 in NA. The deck is very commonly played with Extravagance, which is not included on this budget list, but even Extrav has also gotten substantially cheaper.
  • The sample list runs Dimension Shifter, which is devastating against Dragon Link, Infernoble, Dinosaur, and Eldlich. While it makes your own combos awkward, you might consider the trade-off to be worth it. Shifter is, of course, easily substituted for another, more conventional handtrap.

C Tier

Decks in this category have the capability to be just as good as the ones above at times, but often tend to suffer from multiple problems including consistency and power.

Gouki

Price: $80+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Aggressive Warrior-based combo deck that takes advantage of the Gouki monsters all searching other Gouki cards upon leaving the field. With the unbanning of Rusty Bardiche and the release of some solid generic Warrior support in ROTD, Gouki has seen a small resurgence online.
  • The general goal is to resolve Isolde and then summon Apollousa to protect you from handtraps, before using Gouki Rematch to then go into the Codebreakers. Codebreaker Virus Swordsman, Virus Berserker, and Zero Day can effectively vomit out 6 Link rating worth of monsters off of just the two Goukis revived with Rematch. Competitive versions of this deck usually play Verte Anaconda + Dragoon, Linkross, and sometimes even a small Synchro package to go into the Infernoble synchros. A great resource for current Gouki combos is this combo video from SirEmanon - note that it utilizes Dragoon.
  • Most of the warrior stuff is surprisingly cheap, but the reason Gouki is on this post instead of Infernoble is due to a heavy reliance on Halq + Linkross in competitive Infernoble strategies. The provided list plays a few Infernoble cards, but more as generic warrior extenders - Durendal is great for searching Fire Flint Lady as well as Oliver, which help to put extra bodies on board.
  • Budget players may find that a lack of Verte + Dragoon leads to the end boards being quite underwhelming, and less resilient in the face of disruption. A weakness to Droll & Lock Bird also doesn't help.

Unchained

Price: $75-100 Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Floaty destruction-based archetype that generates advantage when its cards are destroyed, enabling its gimmick of using your opponent's monsters to Link Summon.
  • Can be built to go first or to go second, although the sample list prefers to go first since you probably want cards like Dark Ruler No More, Lightning Storm, and Evenly Matched for going second.
  • Mega-Tin reprints of Abomination's Prison as well as their Link 2 have helped make this deck a great deal more affordable. I:P Masquerena being more affordable is also a nice boost, though it's by no means essential in this deck.
  • Fairly modest online performance, doing alright at smaller events and more recently finishing top 8 at the second YuGiJoe online series as well as occasional Luxury events.
  • This deck's best weapon is its opponents being unprepared for it. Playing improperly into Dark Spirits or Unchained floats can very quickly be fatal. It also matches up decently into some Dogmatika variants, which rely on destruction-based removal from Dogmatika Punishment and Elder Entity N'tss.

Plunder Patroll

Price: $100+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Pirate archetype with ridiculous recursion and a unique tag-out and equip mechanic based on Attributes being used in the game
  • The pirates become equips for one of (currently) three Patrollships, extra deck monsters that can all discard Plunder Patroll cards in hand to fuel powerful effects. The ships become stronger when manned (equipped with) a Plunder card, with bonuses such as ignition effects becoming quick effects, or being able to replace the discarded card with a new one from the deck.
  • In terms of performance, Plunder has been doing decently at smaller tournaments (particularly PPG weeklies) but has failed to replicate those results in larger online tournaments such as LCS.
  • Toadally Awesome + Bahamut Shark is another option for players who are able to afford Toad, which is currently sitting at around $20 on TCGPlayer. This has been mixed in some builds with cards like Tenyi Spirit - Shthana.

Pendulum Magician

Price: 100+ (varies) Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Pendulum deck centered around Level 4 Spellcaster monsters that recently got a new breath of life with Double Iris Magician being unbanned.
  • Magicians are featured here instead of Endymion as they're newer and haven't been on this post for a while. Both of them have similar online results (which is to say, practically none) and Endymion has a greater weakness to Droll. For an example Endymion list, consider something like this.
  • The example list is a Magician-heavy list featuring Tuning Magician, abusing it in conjunction with cards like Selene and Halqifibrax to spam monsters to the board before your Pendulum Summon. Though I'm not sure who created this build, Trif Gaming has been a big proponent of it online, utilizing Linkross as well as several Synchros designed to draw cards.
    • A more budget-friendly version of this list cuts Fibrax and Tuning Magician entirely, and adds in other solid Pend cards like Endymions. The list shown runs a few moderately expensive cards like Fibrax, Apollousa, and a playset of the new Odd-Eyes Revolution Dragon, but Pend easily accommodates a smaller budget. Plenty of budget Pendulum resources exist online, so those versions aren't covered here.
  • Tornado Dragon is utilized to great effect in this deck, oftentimes popping Double Iris on your own turn 1 and then popping Artifact Scythe on turn 2 to lock your opponent out of the extra deck. Incorporating the Dagda + Scythe engine gives this deck some much-needed resilience against board breakers like Dark Ruler No More, a classic weakness of build-a-board Pendulum.
  • Plenty of other viable options exist for Pend, including incorporating Guardragons, a Phantom Knight engine, playing Dracoslayer cards, adding a heavier focus on Odd-Eyes, etc.
  • Pretty much every Pend variant suffers against Droll right now, including Magician, Endymion, and others. There's not really a way to play around this due to the nature of Pendulum as a deck, so just don't worry about it :)

Shaddoll

Price: $75+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Classic Fusion-based archetype from 2014, debuting in Duelist Alliance. Somewhat of a midrange combo deck that can slow the game down with El Shaddoll Winda or be very aggressive with El Shaddoll Construct
  • Winda is a troublesome floodgate that many decks struggle to out, especially combo decks. Shaddoll cards are currently played in several Dogmatika variants due to the sheer power of Winda and the utility of Shaddoll Schism, released in ROTD.
  • In the OCG, Dogmatika Shaddoll without any other engines is one of the top meta contenders, commonly playing even cards like Gale Dogra to use Apkallone and get to Schism as soon as possible.
  • Since the Dogmatika package is extremely expensive, the included decklist is more of a pure Shaddoll list. Schism is still an absolutely fantastic power boost for this deck, regardless of what version. Also possible is the inclusion of just a few copies of Dogmatika Punishment and maybe 1 Ecclesia (around $20), around with some utility extra deck cards.
  • The deck's biggest problem has always been its inability to consistently resolve a fusion spell on turn 1. Pure Shaddoll are somewhat prone to bricking on all monsters or all spell/traps, and not being able to afford the Dogma cards is also a blow to consistency.
  • Another hybrid build that existed before Dogmatika cards debuted was Invoked Shaddoll, which is still a powerful variant currently (though Dogma cards are always splashed in as well). Meltdown protects Schism, making it an extremely powerful combo that can out cards like Dragoon. However, Invocation is still $20 each, despite its multiple reprints.

Up-And-Coming

Decks here will usually be decks that recently started seeing success (usually online) or upcoming decks that might become viable budget decks, oftentimes due to new support or even new reprints. Some might also be decks that could potentially be on the main body of the post, but need a little more time to prove themselves. These decks are also going to be covered in less detail.

Buster Blader

Price: Varies Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Control deck that abuses the interaction between Buster Dragon and the Buster Blader fusion monster to set up a very annoying lock similar to what Bagooska does. Prologue sending Memories and then Memories's GY effect will accomplish this lock if you have any Dragon in the GY, meaning that Buster Whelp sets it up by itself.
  • Has seen a surprising amount of online success, particularly in high-rated DB. Part of this is due to the prevalence of Dragon Link, which the BB Fusion is strong against on its own.
  • Buster Blader cards are typically played as an engine, almost always mixed with a heavy Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon package and frequently also mixed with Dogmatika or Eldlich cards. None of these options are budget-friendly, so the price is simply listed as "variable". The sample list takes the deck in a playable direction, using a small Rokket engine to supplement the Buster Blader cards and to help get Dragons in GY for Memories. However, generally, I would not recommend trying to play this deck without Dragoon.

Prank-Kids

Price: $150 Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Floaty combo/control deck with 4 maindeck Prank-Kids that all float into any other Prank-Kid when used for a Link or Fusion summon
  • Phantom Rage comes with Prank-Kids Meow-Meow, a Link 1 Prank-Kid monster that makes this deck incredibly consistent and turns any single Prank monster into full combo. This deck has been popping up a bit in the OCG, so it's worth keeping an eye on.

Fluffal

Price: $50+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Aggressive Fusion combo deck capable of making ridiculous boards going first and easily OTKing going second. Previously known as just an OTK deck, its ROTD support have made its going-first options quite terrifying, and this deck has picked up some steam online
  • Frightfur Whale being level 9 enables easy access to Calamities, which can singlehandedly win games. This deck's other possible win conditions include Apollousa / Toad / Dagda+Scythe / Dingirsu+Winda / Punching you for 12000 damage
  • Almost every Fluffal card besides Kraken is dirt cheap. Only the generic main/extra deck cards really cost anything substantial.

Monarch

Price: $50+ Imgur | DuelingBook
  • Classic Tribute-based deck that was one of the best decks in early/mid 2016, and recently was brought back to full power after Pantheism came back to 3.
  • Monarch has some new toys to play with as well, including Seleglare the Luminous Lunar Dragon, Magicians' Souls, and the entire pool of Link monsters.
  • Notably pulled off a 2nd place finish at the EU Remote Duel Invitational last weekend, piloted by Lithium2300. You can watch his deck profile here.
  • Though Extra Deck Monarch is very strong, the Domain build is absolutely dirt cheap and doesn't require an extra deck. Monarchs in general have been performing quite poorly on DuelingBook and in online tournaments, but you're still able to easily steal games with cards like Domain and Vanity's Fiend, and the deck is perfectly fine for smaller events (as we saw from Lithium's performance).

Honorable Mentions

  • Orcust, Mermail Atlantean, Magical Musketeers, PaleoFrog, Crusadia Guardragon, ABC, D/D, Generaider - Decks that are fairly decent but have been left off of the post to make room for other decks that have seen more recent success or have fewer budget resources online.
  • Dragonmaid, Infernoid, Cyber Dragon, Invoked variants, HERO etc - Decks that are pretty good but are sorta in limbo due to some expensive individual cards, such as Kitchen Dragonmaid, Verte Anaconda/Cyber Dragon Nachster, Invocation, etc.
  • Cubics, Phantasm, Chain Burn, Evilswarm, Yosenju, Dinomist, and much, much more - Unfortunately, there is not enough room to cover every single decent, super-cheap deck.

I hope to keep this post updated for the foreseeable future. Feel free to leave any comments or suggestions. Sorry this one took a little longer than usual to publish, I've been busy IRL and the format also needed some time to settle.
